as a rule, when people make youtube videos of a run that means its pretty hard to solo.

things are almost always hard the first time you try it out, but once you 'learn' the moveset it's all smooth sailing.
giant spider is definitely lower tier difficulty (as scythe)

Having a video recorded does not necessarily mean the battle is difficult. People record videos of runs like Decisive Battle and Friends and Blood Prince all the time; they're fun, the battles may be challenging, but they are by no means difficult.
That being said, Giant Spider is definitely one of the easier bosses. Having a woefully limited arsenal of attacks, you can either bait attacks for you to set up a whiff combo, or the Giant Spider will telegraph its punches to you. In either case, learn its attacks, learn your response to attacks, and it shouldn't be a problem.
The first few times will definitely be the most challenging.
