I feel like a good reference point for you would be art for Deathnote. It's got a nice detailed style.

Yes! Actually, I have looked and read all of Deathnote, I do admire all of Takeshi Obata's art, he's got wonderful perspective and style.

Yeah, coming from a more realism style, it's interesting to try to do manga. It's not by any means easy either >.<
