Egbbfmes, while sounding like a gibberish word invented by a preschooler, is an acronym (for all you grammar illiterates) for Eyeoftiger's.Guide on.Breaking the.Boundaries of. Field. Monster. Experience. Spamming.
Disclaimer: I am not recommending spamming field monsters for true end-game experience. That's what TMs & SMs are for.
The Fish Mark & Desert Bears
The Fish Mark of Southwest Connous supplements experince goers with 4 different species of bear.
- Red-Brown Desert Bear
- Brown Desert Bear
- Black Desert Bear
- White Desert Bear
While all of these desert bears provide amazing experience, Black desert bears are the ones to shoot for. Providing up to 4x more experience than Browns or Red-Browns at 4,000 exp., they are easier to kill than White bears.
These bears are a personal favorite of mine, for their high hp:exp ratio (excluding white bears.) If I don't feel like using 5 crystals per kill, I just use 3 for decent experience on Red/Browns.
So, for me, 5 crystals will kill a black desert bear. I usually have 600 on me, so that's about 475k experience per 600 crystals. That means for every 6k, I get 475k experience, which is a darn good trade off. Which is 2.375 MILLION experience for just 30k.
Sadly however, only 2~3 black desert bears are spawned at the fish mark and surrounding oasis at a time, so you may want to kill some Browns/Reds in the spare time.
On another note, it is also relatively close to Rupes, a place to dig up lost elves for 1k exploration exp. a pop. :ran_kero:
(I release all my guides in segments as I usually don't have time to write up a whole thing, so don't rage at the low selection.)
The Black Tailed Mongeese of the Maiz Prairie (Sign)
Personally, in my experience, I have never really favored mongeese spamming. Here's some pros, and some cons.
The Proest Pros
- Close together for easy spamming
- Decent HP:Exp ratio (especially with title)
- Low Defense/Protection, for weaker players
The Conniving Cons
- Provide no exp to 1.4k+ CP players
- Can hit hard if sent into deadly
I'll be flat honest, their gold drops are very mediocre. Their not terrible, but they definitely are not superb.
The Ixions of Zardine's Pera Volcano
Let's hit up some Zardine! Ixions are pretty much weird skeletal looking horses. They seemed to be named after a Greek mythological dude, who happened to be the father of centaurs. The mother being a cloud...Yea, I'm not seeing a relationship either.
ANYWAYS, Ixions are very aggressive. But due to their relatively distant proximity to one another, they shouldn't be able to abuse their multiple aggro on you.
At 910 HP, they should be a fairly easy kill, and they provide 990 Exp (or 1105 with the title.)
While they do drop sub-decent gold, they have one very interesting drop. It's a Gothic Basic Suit, but also has Mana Summoner on it. That will fetch a pretty penny, and can make up for sub-standard gold drops.
With 2,000 CP, unless you're a super-pro (which you shouldn't even be thinking of spamming these guys), they provide decent experience to most anyone.
Balrogs, on the Bridge of Hell
Welcome to the Bridge through Hell. Not to hell, no, but OVER hell. Yes, (OHFFFFF, Horned Volcano Boar killed me as I was writing this x_x) welcome to the spawning zone of the Balrog. The Balrog is a crappy rip-off of J.R.R Tolkien's Balrog. While the representations of the Balrog are varying, I think a black demon with a simple sword isn't exactly "LOTR style." Of the subject of Nexon's laziness, the Balrogs have much to offer, and as much to give.
With 1,800 exp, and 3x when having the head figure title, Balrogs are a nice little gumdrop of exp. However, with their aggresive AI, they are not gumdrops.
More like ninja-Warhead candies, they spawn 1~3 decoy balrogs. Then, when you kill them, a few more than them appear, then your getting mob raped by a hoard of multi aggro Balrogs. These mobs are not for the faint of heart. Like Ixions, they do drop Mana Summoner, but on a Gothic Laced Skirt. So girls ,pull up the skirt, take your birth control pill, and get ready to rumble.
A side note, don't try to play dead. 1) They will smell your fear 2) Once they smell it, they will stomp you dead. Good luck.
El' Pantera, The Black Leopards
The Black Leopards are not a leotard wearing Mabinogi band. They are a daily (Mabinogi day) spawning field boss, at the south edge of the large Sulfur Pit. They spawn at evening, providing a nice escape from Balrog/Ixion spamming. They spawn in a group of 15, perfect for AOE attacks like Flame Burst, WM, or Fireball ;).
With just 700 HP, they should be no trouble for a monster hunter like you :D. With 800 exp each, the entire group provides 12,000 experience. While all of these sound like mediocre stats, considering that you don't have an infinite spawning supply (like Balrogs >_>), the true gold behind them (pun intended), is their drops. While the gold is a tensy bit high 500~1.2k, a nice little Selina's Open Leather Jacket drops. This has Poison Sniper es'ed on it, which is a good enchant for people who want +poison resist stat boosts.
Their aggro is extremely fast, but they seem to be low-damage dealing mobs. With their multi, AOE is recommended. A nice example of their aggro is me waiting for a spawn, then when they spawned, exactly 3 seconds later, they all rush me. I survived, but I'm not sure my Shire will ever be the same.
