You can probably solo some of the boat 5 battles for EXP but Hidden is probably faster and easier once you learn the moves. On my scythe, it takes me about 5-6 minutes to solo on normal and that's without a golem. Insane Reaper is your friend, especially when you get it to the number ranks. When he does his slow 1,2 (where he raises his right claw to smack you), blink to his right side and pull off a LLR. Sometimes he may do a sideswipe when you're behind him. If you can predict what direction he's going to swipe you, you can start a combo in the opposite direction and pull of a LLLLR+Bloody Thread. When he pounces(bends his legs), try to delay your blink by hopping then press dodge to blink behind him right when he jumps then follow by a LLR. His quick 1,2(where he kind cringes a bit) blink behind him and pull off an LLR. His quick right jab is hard to anticipate, but try to blink behind him if you can predict it.
TL;DR: Learn its moves, Have reaper on as much as possible,Avoid using golem, Watch your stamina, Stay away from walls, and remember to have fun. :D
Hope that helps.

It's easy to pull out your golem in that fight.
- Use the golem item in the starting room
- When the cutscene plays in the next room, tell your golem to get up
- Throw a palala when the cutscene is over (you can hold off throwing the palala for a second or two since the spider screams)
- Hit the really short pillar near the entrance, to the left; it takes only 2 normal hits or so to break it down with a scythe
- Bring your golem further into the debris
- Throw another palala for some more time if necessary (won't be if you're a scythe since you can run away easier)

I did these solo with Evie and maxed golem, from levels 52 - 55 or so:
Unfinished Business with 12 minute oath is about 5 - 7 minutes for 72k exp or something like that, plus Emblem of Resurrection drops. Not very risky, especially when on normal difficulty. Golem has no problem here.
Two Moons with incapacitated oath is about 68k exp for about 10 minutes, with Magic-Infused Stones and the wisps hearts. Just watch out for Ephnesien self-destructing on hard difficulty. Golem rarely dies during that fight.
Habitat for Wild Plants with win within 15 minutes oath is about 83k exp but feels like a long time and is risky. Meperdu trash mobs are a big pain and Famenu can kill you quickly if you get caught in his rushes or spins. Golem doesn't last very long against him either.
For comparison, Hidden runs are about 5 - 7 minutes for 68k exp or so, but the loot is pretty useless now.
Here's a big tip:
If you have guildies present when the boat starts, then have them rejoin (and maybe assist with the battle), then leave before the score tallies, you will receive full exp + guild bonus.

West Hilder Forest is quite possibly one of the worst Hilder Forest dungeon to solo for an Evie (aside from Fight That Must Be Won and Shady Forest which are bad ideas in general anyway), I'd say. Famenu is terrible to fight because of his range and combos, and getting to him is equally annoying due to the sub-bosses as you mentioned.
From my experience of soloing just about all the quests (between a Fiona and Evie), I'd say Forest Ruins is the best. ~95k exp with an oath, and Elvis-troll is obscenely simple to dodge; just keep moving to his right when he's in stab mode and he won't hit you at all. His other hits can be a pain, but they're all pretty slow so you should be able to jump away easily (yes, jump, not blink, because his non-stab range isn't all that great really). And that's assuming you're not using a golem, although getting a golem out on him can be annoying if you get the spawn where he's in the first room after a loading time.
And loot-wise, his sword fragment is the most used boss drop for the 56 sets, aside from Wild Berries. Plus, the king driller boss fight thing can drop Superior Iron Ores which come in handy, although maybe not so much for an Evie.
Although I *may* be over exaggerating his easiness, since I've solo'd the hell out of him on my Fiona, and have only done it a couple times on my Evie I believe. I'll get back to you on that one.

I have trouble with Zyarga on my Evie, haven't gotten my Fiona high enough yet. I'll try out your tips next time, thanks.
I figured since I beat Famenu first try under 15 minutes that he was so-so, even though I almost died a few times. The extra 5 - 7 minutes probably isn't worth the extra 10k exp over Unfinished Business.

Great recommendations! Any hints for Lanns and/or for missions under 50? :)

To be honest, I've been pretty lazy with my Lann. I just want to get him up to speed and I have no patience. Too busy focusing on my other characters. I just have a dedicated healer while I spin spin spin. Some of the bosses are really easy if you do that.

I guess I didn't solo Forest Ruins on Evie, since I just tried and I actually ended up dying pretty quickly. I found the golem actually works against you, so it's better not to use it.
However, when Zyarga is doing his 3-stab smash combo, if you start an LLLLR combo and whiff all your normal hits to the right, you can land the smash on him as he misses with the third hit (if you time it well enough, his 3rd stab will go off when you hit the 4th normal attack), and you may have enough time to cast Bloody Thread too. Takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get it down it's not too bad.
The rest just is keeping your distance from him and poking with mostly LLR, because I forgot that his most common non-stab attack is his horizontal sweep, which does have decent range (didn't notice that on my Fiona since I'm usually right next to him). Other than that, Mercury Traps work the best on him since Palalas don't blind him for very long (he's not blinded long enough for it to be even safe enough to drink a potion unless you're far away), assuming your rank is high in that. Merc traps also make it easy to pick off all the trash at the start so they don't get in the way. And use Insane Reaper since you need to be able to guarantee a Blink if you're in trouble.

Yeah, I find that Palalas are useless against Zyarga. Golem also dies very quickly. I was planning on using your tip to poke at him like you just described.
