I've been so confused with the sex of some of the nationers (I rather not say because it may be offensive to some people)
I think we should have a gender status

Sex: - Female/Male or M/F or even a sex symbol/color (blue for males and pink for females?)
It would be easier to direct conversations to people without them getting offended as well
(she, he, him, her, ect)
edit: I also realize this is teh interwebz so people often lie about whether they are male or female, but if they say they are female, then I'm sure that's what they prefer to be referred to as.

Sounds ok to me. It would be helpful for some topics and chats.

Sex: Male. (Born female)
Gender: Androgynous.

There should also be an option for "I don't wish to say".

^ This. Some might not be comfortable saying it. 'Specially Transgender individuals.
Not to mention some people don't care, such as myself.

I honestly will roll with whatever people call me but I like to call other people by what they are

This has been discussed before and was said that gender should be irrelevant when reading someones post, making it an useless addition. I honestly don't care either way, not a necessity, but if it's added then cool.

I like the symbols. Blue and male sign for males, and pink and female sign for females. And of course, there can be either no sign or a white icon [I saw one that was used before on a forum, I forget what it looks like...] if you don't want to say/didn't say.
Also, I think our age should be shown below our location.
Like this:
Location: xxxx
Age: 16
y'know?!

It'd help me out considering no one knows I'm a guy until they actually have a conversation with me... 8D

Well, if we add symbols, adding a transgender symbol would be good. Some people such as myself as very proud of their Transgender identity.
It should be:
Sex: Male/Female/Transgender(or sexual)/Don't wish to say (or N/A)/Intersex/
Gender: Feminine, Masculine, Androgynous, Neutral
