What's the best way to get sunlight herbs without needing to buy them?
Mana herbs too, but no rafting. I suck at the mini-game.
I'm training enchant and I have approximately 1400 burns to use (roughly about 40 accounts stocked up on burns, which mostly have tailoring kits and gathering knifes along with some bigger items), which according to my calculation is able to take me through Rank 2 to 1 (estimate of 3397 times of enchant scrolls to get). My only problem is that I have only 56 stacks of sunlight herbs and HW. I need about 480 stacks of each to pull through all of these. HW is not a big problem for me.
It's not possible for me to buy them since their market price now rival mana herbs (both for 15-20k a stack). It will cost me between 6-9 million just on herbs alone. Buying items for re-enchanting and burning back might come up to a cost of 1-2 million (I'm willing to spend for this), and I'm extremely unwilling to buy the herbs. I'm left with this headache on what to do with all these burns. They are worth 4-5 million, but I don't think the price is fair enough for all the handling.
(I also really think it's all those rich people training enchant that's causing all these massive price inflations for such items. I've heard that people spend 50-60 million to train enchant over here, when I've only spent about 15 million so far. I'm not interested in competing with them on speed, but I really want to find a way to train this enchant quickly without using up too much gold.)

Rafting or Hot Air Ballooning might work. You have a chance of getting 5 herbs with 6-10 stars when ballooning, and 3 herbs for 2-3 stars. I'd recommend rafting: find seven people that are bored enough to join you, get everyone 2-3 stars per stop, and have everyone give you their herbs from prizes. If my probability is correct, you'll typically get about 6 sunlight herbs, and 12 mana herbs per stretch.
Finding 7 other people willing to just sit on a raft and give you everything is probably quite hard, though.
Alternatively, you could try solo rafting. How much are iron ingots worth in the CN server? If you can make decent money off of those, you could just raft alone, farm iron ingots, sell them, and buy herbs with that.
That's what I do in NA: with each raft run (all three stops), I can get enough ingots to easily buy 3 stacks of overpriced mana herbs, maybe 4 or 5 stacks if I try and find a good price.
Good luck with your enchanting!

I have a herb gnu, but picking is too slow.
Iron ingots are 35k a stack (which is 20 together). Which I don't think is worth working for if the mana herbs are worth a lot more for the same effort.
Bloody herbs are 12k a stack I guess. It could work if I sell the bloody herbs too. I do need some bloody herbs to rank potion-making to 9 so this idea might help. I'll consider it once I'm done with getting enough holy water.
Having multiple characters to go on the raft is not a problem for me, but not 8 at one go, that's too much to handle. Probably only 4-5 together.
Any other ideas that might work?

You can always do it the steady, old-fashioned way.

Are there bots on your server? If there are, you can usually find a bunch of sunlights on the ground outside of Qilla.

Solea is where I got my Mana Herbs for Herb training. They are quite abundant there and is pretty easy Herb training, if you can dodge enemies.

I give up. The materials are too much of a hassle. I'll just continue on ranking enchant the way I do now and just hope for a rank 8 enchanter to come along.

Do you have Thunder? If you happen to get Thunder at high ranks, you can do rafting very easily.
Dual people trying to get Iron Ingots at rafting will also mean you have a chance to get Mana Herbs as well. Both are very sellable types of materials.
If you don't want to purposely go out to Solea or herb pet to get herbs, just get yourself to do dungeons with herbs, and slowly get them.
There is also other ... not so legal methods, like flat out bot on herb pets. :!!:

If you ever get the St Pat's dungeon again it has like 3 consecutive herb rooms

Nope, no thunder ranks and I doubt NA exclusive events will come here...
I just decided to use my burns to rank to 2 (now 88.61 or so). Looks like I will be stuck at Rank 2 for quite some time and there is absolutely no way I can use the burns.

The easiest way to get herbs are in Solea. There are 3 spots in each of the main rooms and 6 in the bigger rooms. It will take a while to learn the spots (2-3 hours) but once you do you can just grind them out and....x5-7 channels. The herbs always spawn in the same spots (not random). Also you'll get gold/poisen/mandrakes which you can sell or trade to someone ranking pots for sunlights or cash.
