Twin swords in the next update: are they even an upgrade?

So I'm looking at these, and are they even better than the ivory twin swords we have now? As they gain a bit of attack power, they keep losing crit. While the vanquisher has the best chance of having better dps than the ivory twin swords, it loses a full 8% chance on crit. Enemies have increasingly high crit-resistance, so wouldn't this be kind of like giving up on gliding furies, which are a sword lann's only real chance to deal serious damage? I'm just hoping it was some kind of bad data import and these will be improved when the patch arrives. Anyway, discuss.

On an unrelated note, scythe evies actually benefit from their lower crit weapons, and spear lann's spears are a lot more impressive than ivory ones (or any of the swords), and lose only 2% crit. Didn't bother checking other classes.

It's about the same, after counting enhance and enchant in.

Ivory can have oblivion, which improves a lot damage, and the 8% crit also helps. On the other hand, vanquisher that's 1.5% more attack speed, with bloodlust you get 8 extra att speed (4%). 1k extra ATT is nice, but the bonus is small comparing to have 10k ATT as base, and oblivion will shorten the gap. So it's down to critical or attack speed, pick either one you like best.

Yea, if you check the equipment sets, you will realize they are about the same.

Devs did this do let people able to choose what they want to wear, without suffering too much from damage/stat/etc. So what they did is basically released a few bunch of equip/weapons that are around the same stats.

If you're looking for better stats, you might look into blacksmithing/tailoring/cooking etc. I believe those will be out as Rocheste is out. Basically those allows player to craft the weapon/equip themselves, and it's possible to get higher stats if it's player-crafted.

You also get a little bit of increase in weapon length.
