It could also be because of the Nuclear Situation as well as that's becoming quite a problem if you haven't been keeping tabs on it.

Oddly enough, this happening didn't cross my mind, but it makes complete sense. Mabinogi definitely isn't a top priority in Japan, considering all the crap that country's been through in just a few days.
