My motherboard is really old and only has 1 GB of RAM. I really wanted a faster computer but didn't want to spend too much so I only bought a new videocard. My computer is a lot faster than it was before, but I keep freezing whenever I run Mabinogi. The freezes happen a lot more than they did with my old videocard.
I defragged my computer and I have a lot of space left but I still freeze very often. Any suggestions besides buying a new motherboard (since I don't want to spend any more money.)

Install the latest drivers from the manufacturers website (ignore the CD that came with it). then restart.
See if that helps.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I updated my drivers, checked for overheating and checked my hard drive for errors.

What card did you get? What PSU do you have--does it have enough power? It's possible that the graphics card is using too much power and is therefore starving the CPU in some way. And Mabinogi doesn't really use graphics cards properly, anyway. :S

I have the ATI Radeon HD 4650. My PSU is 420 watts. I freeze on other things like playing youtube videos as well.
