Locked out from character

  When I try to log into my character it either gives me the message: "The server cannot be reached" or the client outright crashes. I can still access the other characters on the account.
  
  I don't know how this happened, I had just logged in to afk in an SM my friend was doing and then I d\c'd and lost the ability to log into the character. I can't access my character from other computers either.
  
  Clean client\wasn't using any glitch when it happened yesterday. I submitted a ticket but no response so far.
  
  
  I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this?

  Yeah, I still can't access my character.
  
  I was in a Tara castle SM, right at the doorway after passing through the large room with the chandelier.

  It costs money, but maybe you can try rebirthing your character to get out of the glitch area? Or do you crash even if you choose the rebirth option?

  Unfortunately I already tried that but I tried again after you mentioned it and instead of crashing or kicking me back to the login it hangs on the "Connecting to World" part.
  
  I'll explore this option a bit more later today. Thanks! I think it might actually have a chance at working.

  Still locked out of character, I can't seem to get any further than getting it to attempt to log in. Just getting that far was nice at least.
  
  Looking around the main forums this seems to have happened to a few people earlier this month, there doesn't seem to be any connection between what we were doing or where we were. Nexon doesn't seem to know much about it themselves unfortunately.

  File a ticket or try to log in from another computer.
  
  If you can log in from another computer it may be your client.
  
  I once had a problem like this but when I logged into my dad's computer, I logged in fine. I hope yours may just be that problem.

  Thanks for the suggestion, I was hoping it was something like that too but I've already tried to log in from two other computers with the same result unfortunately.

  I'm not sure what changing my password would accomplish since I have no problem accessing my account, but I'll try that a bit later and hope it fixes my character.

  If you change your password, all characters on your game is forced out.
  
  So if you have trace characters still online, it'll forced them offline.

  Unfortunately, it seems whatever is wrong is worse than that, I still can't access my character. I'm worried that my character data might have been corrupted in some horrible way for it to lock it out so entirely.
