If you're really a good student you'll balance out the work so well you'll still have free time. It's the ones who keep everything until it's too late who have to suddenly stop everything to catch up.
Totally not speaking from experience.
Not at all.

Thinking about us while you're studying/doing a test = the point of no return to As and Bs

I spend nearly hours playing video games or doing something else rather than homework, and I've had straight A's for a while now, because I balanced my time in class to do all my work, and stayed on-task at all times. I've been getting work done at school only, so I can have some free time at home.
No wonder I have some good marks for a while now. Maintaining your time well is key. If you only focus on study study and study more, then you certainly won't be successful at all. Life does need varying, y'know? No one can really stand something so monotonous at times.
But really, it's not the grades that matter to you, it's where you'll take the classes that you learned and how you use them. Why do people only care about grades at all? It's seriously careless to just take a class and be like:
"I'm done with it for the rest of my life, and my grades are all good, so it's fine now, I can forget about what I learned because I passed at least, or aced it." That does not mean that you won't have to come back to something you've thrown away later on.
It only matters what you take out of the classes you have, and how you intend to use them to your advantage. It's not grade that matters and reflects being a "good student" at all.
Though, if you have a humongous stacks of homework, I feel you and your needs for time. But you said that you are balancing things just fine so far, so keep it up. You'll still be able to take a deep breath and occasionally relax. Besides, it really is rewarding when you work so hard and then have a well-deserved break, since self-satisfication is the best satisfication that you can get.
I second Osay with the experience thing, but I'm still only a Freshman, I don't know what's going on with other people's lives at all, since it's just such a subjective judgment to be pointed out. D:

Im sure it'd be easier if i was actually in school, but all my classes are online. Plus, i dont have a job, so it's up to me to decide when it's time to study... and with so many distractions on the internet i dont want to give myself an excuse to procrastinate on something further. -shrugs-
Not to mention failing a class my mom paid for out of pocket would mean my ultimate destruction OTL;;
