  Its like, its not even "you guys took it too far", but rather "thats not even a joke". Not a fan of what happened there either.

  Some of my friends make these kinds of jokes on me even when its not april fools. I almost die believing them.
  Once one of my friends asked me if I could take his car to work because he doesn't have his, so I said he could as long as its only to work and back.
  
  And then he called later that day and told me that he hit "some big animal" and the front bumper of the car was totally blown off. I was so struck by that, especially because I was unemployed and had very little savings and was paying rent.
  
  Then 30 seconds later he jumps through the door laughing and I was like "**** YOU".
  
  Its not funny. There are april fools jokes that make people laugh. There are april fools jokes that make people freak out. But the ones that make people worry about the well being of themselves or others is seriously problematic. Because even if its on Aprist first, if the content of the joke is serious enough, we begin to take extra caution in whether or not we give it an instant "disbelief" label. I was completely aware of it being April Fools since earlier today yet I couldn't help but to think this is real from the seriousness of the situation.
