Accept his kindness and just take the gift.

Receive the gift and try to return the favor sometime with a gift in return. My friends tend to give me gifts for the hell of it ._. my one friend in particular was willing to give me a flashy dye the first day we actually met. I had to beg her to take her birthday present..Don't get me wrong though, gifts are nice and I love my friends.

Well my friend once offered me 200 dollars and I rejected it cause it was too much and I only knew her on the internet (But she lived nearby and we knew each other's friends) but then I found out she was super rich and 200$ to her meant nothing...I regret that cause I could of bought this bass

But yeah take the money if he said it's okay it's okay. There's nothing to feel guilt about you didn't beg you just asked. :tea:

Let's be friends 8D
Kidding kidding xD.
But on topic: it's really nice when your friend gives you gifts, and you should accept after some "No are you sure..? Really?" and then repay them subtly (or not subtly at all) with something later.

For me, I usually try to sell something. I get impatient and my friend goes "I like that..." So I give it to him for free.

you can gift him later. see im like you too. when ch1 crashed i lost some stuff, including a nicely enchanted val boots. my friend knew i was feeling suckie so he quickly bought me a similar colored one and kept begging me to come meet him in game~ i knew he was going to give me something so i kept saying nonononono. i felt really guilty for not accepting it; after all, he did spend a lot of money just to buy it for me. but i also felt painful and too much in his debt if i were to just accept it. i put it off~ then that day i found a hugeass diamond and i asked him if he wanted to buy it for cheap. he didnt want to pay cheap, then he suggested the val boots and some money~~~ no way i was gonna take money. xD so now i dont feel guilty any more. we helped each other out and we are both really happy to have each other.

I do feel bad if it's an especially good item. Example being the grace shawl dress that I received. I always feel bad wearing it since it's really beautiful and I'm always worried about jealous people who might get the wrong impression. However, I would be happier being the guardian of that item instead of somebody else. I'm always prepared to give back that dress if she ever wants it back. Thing is, I like pretty clothes but I hardly wear them...since pretty stuff are usually not that practical.
I love giving things away for free if it's within my means. The other day, someone who always did enchanting with me failed his Barbarian burns three times and he lost about 1 million plus in the enchanting process, which is all that he's got anyway. It was extremely bad luck, and I can totally understand how it feels to not succeed and also lose everything. I just decided to test my luck and burn Barbarian, which costs 300k. I succeeded and then called him to come to my house to receive the scroll. Thankfully, we had it successfully enchanted on his broad axe.
I really love what my guildmaster said. The other day we had a Peaca Lower run, and halfway through I d/ced. They got a really good enchant, think was Hard Peaca that sold for 3 million. The person who got it gave 500k to the guildmaster as thanks. He ended up splitting that 500k with the rest of us. I wanted to decline because I did almost nothing (I dc-ed on the first floor in fact and they had an extremely hard time at the boss because all of them forgot to bring handicraft kit - ironic thing was that I always kept one on my wolf and I had to DC) and then he said that I should accept because he's splitting for us to share the happiness of it.

Well, then keep the 2 million and invest a fraction of it to multiply that money so that...
1. you can have nice things on your own
2. you won't need to take money from him in the future
3. you can get him something really nice in the future
