Put the music on a USB, and connect it to your IPOD?

Surprised someone hasn't mentioned
SharePod yet.
It's light, and can be stored on the iPod for easy transferring of songs from anywhere to anywhere.

I wouldn't worry with all that crap and just sell it and buy another -preferably generally better- product, even if it means I'd have to work for two hundred € more.
Which I guess in thsi case means open source. I've also heard iPod sound quality is suboptimal, is that true?

its actually quite good. The iPod classic takes the cake.
top dog is given to the Zune for sound quality though.

I've heard Cowon sound quality takes the cake (which is why I'll be saving up for it, albeit I'll probably not have the phones to use the full potential).

The old iPods used to sound like rusty tin cans. The recent ones are average, with the Classic model having the best SQ, as Mama said. This is based on the previous gen, though. I don't know how they changed things in the latest gen.
Zune HD is regarded quite well (why did it only go on sale in Canada like last month?! I wanted to buy one long ago..)
Cowon does have a very good rep for SQ. I forgot which of their models were deemed the best.
Interestingly, the MP3 player with some of the best SQ is actually one of the cheapest ones--the Sansa Clip. It's pretty funny seeing those audiophile setups, where you hook up a headphone amp to the Clip so it can drive their massive headphones. The amp is bigger than the poor Clip itself. <_<;

Hahaha, just looked that one up. Apparently someone thinks it's a clever idea to offer a used one for >600€, the list price being <60€.
The numbers they juggle around in the audiophile community are somewhat ridiculous.
I really don't know whether I should pity a 5€-earbuds customer or a 1000€-headphones customer more. One is a musical tool, the other an economic tool.

If you're trying to import music from more than one PC, you can simply disable sync'ing, and manually drag what music/pictures/etc you want from the library on the other machine to your iPod (using iTunes). And yes, this works with a jail-broken iPod. Of course, don't let iTunes update the iPod's firmware.
