Would be interesting to see a life skill in equipment modification (As in you yourself do the modifications on equipment, except higher ranks get you better modifications than NPCs). They also may as well make Farming a life skill with higher ranks allowing you to grow more crops or maybe even some rare crops.

reparation? :what: Might I point you toward a dictionary?
It'd be nice if they introduced a whole new game mechanic. ie: cobwebs and wool to weaving, ores to refining, ingredients to cooking
Maybe something like......actually they already have everything that comes to mind in the game. They could just make it a lot better.

Potion Mastery? Increases success rates of producing potions and potions restore more than they usually would.

Gathering. Kind of irritated that regardless of your dex/production mastery, apples/berries will always drop at the same rate unless it's raining or wednesday QQ
or
Herding, keeping wild animals still while you plunder them for stuff.

I'd find it interesting if there was a tattoo skill. No, not skulls or anything, but the Mabi symbol and some other things! The tattoos would last one day, real time so you'd have to make a lot.

Refurbish:
An ability that improves the grade of crafted equipment up to its maximum potential (So if you got an S-grade, you can go to S+ and X). Also, with some insanity-inducing amounts of material gathering, one can restore one point of durability on their gear. This restoration cannot exceed the initial durability the weapon came with (except in the case that the equipment grade is improved), nor can it replace durability that has been lost from equipment upgrades; basically, it can only restore durability lost from repair/enchant failure.
Prerequisites for learning: r1 Blacksmithing, r1 Tailoring, r1 Carpentry, r1 Production Mastery

ouch. Refurbish has some potential, but your suggested prerequisites are horrifying.
Item repair would be really nice.... but not likely. And I wonder why not? Sure, make it so that it's about like blacksmithing to rank, or something, and I'd even be ok with having a cap on the success rate being 98% at r1. But it'd be so much more /useful/ than most of the lifeskills. Everyone would be interested, and everyone would have a use for it. Wouldn't need to have it give any stat bonuses from training it, and it could even be fairly expensive in terms of AP (though I'd prefer lower ranges there- mebbe 120 total).
Also agree with the gathering.... I'd be willing to spend a few AP to increase the drop rate from nature. Production mastery does this, no? But it's still low enough that you can get tons of completely wasted attempts.
On a slightly offtopic thought, wonder if the uncapped handicraft will have any use for those currently useless metal conversion byproducts? Nickel, Zinc, and Tin. It kinda makes sense with their description ~ so pure that it doesn't need any refining to be used~
