I haven't worked with pixel bases in.. god knows how long, so I decided to try it again after some urging from a friend. It's of my two OC's, Cyril and Tanith.
I can't shade pixels for ****, rofl. But meh, I tried.
Here's the original base:

So.. thoughts?

Nothing to see here, just flamers and drama.

lolno. Pixel bases are sort of like pieces of paper; they give you 'um to draw what you like.
It's nice for us artists who can't draw bodies for shxt.

I can agree with that. The light is coming from above, right?
Dude on right should have his whole back shaded then.

The light looks like its coming from the left (from the shading on their clothes). If that was what he was going for then his shading is correct. I'd just suggest making the shade colors darker so you can see them easier without looking too hard.
It helps to try visualizing exactly where the light would fall before you even start shading. or by drawing a little sun/lightbulb-- as retarded as that is-- where your light source is.

Well if you see under the arms, there is also shading there, but I don't think that's wrong.
Really, we don't know where the light is coming from so we can't help much....o3o

I'm going to be doing another one today (ohgodsotedious), so I'll try drawing an actual light source beforehand.

Lol i guess the point im really trying to make is that unless the light is coming from directly in front of him then his back wouldnt be in complete shadow. But for the most part, he's got the basic shading down (+/- a few tweaks)

Some major WIP:
Left to right:
Don't have a name for him yet - Also don't have a name - Cyril - No name - Tanith
I'm using the light sources that are already there. But since it will all be covered by clothes soon, I had to mark them down to be sure I know where they are.

Oh let's see....
1st no name: Dexter seems like a pretentious enough name for him.
2nd no name: I don't know :<
3rd no name: Seme
Heh :3
