So I've finally given in and bought my first computer game, Bioshock on steam for $5 :thumb:. Once it finished downloading, I tried to play it but it would load up a bioshock rectangle logo thing and then it would say Bioshock.exe has stopped working and has closed etcetc. Im running this on a Windows 7 btw. Anybody have any solutions :T_T:?

Are you trying to load it in fullscreen?
Also, the game isn't fully supported on Windows 7, so that could be an issue.

Well, a lot of people keep telling me to go to Program file (x86) and look for 2kgames and run bioshock on compatibility mode from there. However, I cant seem to find 2kgame(s) under the program file (x86) folder ><;;

I don't know how Steam installs games, but if you got a Bioshock shortcut in your desktop or start menu, you can right click that, go to properties, and enable the desired compatibility mode.

If you still seem to be having the problem after that, you can try verifying the files to make sure you have them all.
Open up Steam
Go to Library
Right Click Bioshock
Go down to Properties
Go to the "Local Files" Tab
Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache..."
Then it should verify that you have all the files, and if you don't it will start to download the ones you don't have.
Best of luck :)
