My pets
Mounts: Oak Magic Broom, Shire, Thoroughbred
Other: Polar Bear, White Jindo, Mini Bear, Rainbow Sprite, Clover Gnu, Snowy Owl
I have 10.5k NX on my account; I'm thinking of getting:
Black Wolf: I don't train any life skills such as weaving that require many sheep to be stuck, but it's kind of bothersome to chase after sheep every time I complete PTJs at Quilla. I take advantage of sheep that others have trapped (and deserted); but maybe getting my own wolf will make things more easier?
Snowy Owl: More inventory space~!
Other? Mount-wise, I think I'm okay (: The pets I use for combat usually tank. Or pets for fun (ex: crab bubbles, mimic hide-outs)?
Feedback appreciated~! ^^

Snake.
Incredible lulz when your snake poisons an enemy with 10k+ hp.
Or Crab.
# The bubble can trap monsters, where they will be unable to act until they are attacked or the bubble expires.
# The bubble lasts about a minute when used on characters, when it is used on monsters it lasts 10 seconds.

I don't think the crab is useful.
I'm for the snake or the wolf (sticking sheep is extremely beneficial if you use more than one character for part-time jobs). Snakes are really a must when you go on to hard mode missions. They really make your life so much easier by poisoning those annoying bosses.

Snakes themselves aren't that useful against high-CP enemies.
The chance of poisoning them depends on the CP difference between the user and the enemy.
For better use of your snake in Hard Mode missions, farm Poison Bottles and store them. But of course, there is always that slim chance that your snake will indeed poison your enemy. For that, I suggest you train it at least to Level 25 or something. The higher your snake's CP, the better.

You sure the chance is based on your snakes cp? cause i poison things at 1.3k+ cp with my snake every 3-4 hits, the same as it takes for weak enemies.
Or mabey im just lucky.

Since you're good on mounts and combat pets; I'd say go with the either the Black Wolf, since they're good combat pets as well, or get an Antique Mimic for a combination of fun and inventory space (second largest inventory, after Snowy Owl).

Er, I just noticed the pets she listed are ones she owns.
I have a crab and elephant, and I use them when I nearly die in dungeons (Bubble is useful for taking aggro off me, and Elephant is a fairly decent combat pet).
+ The actions are fun.
I like the Black Wolf... But I never really use it unless my Minibear has died, or has very low HP (I have low mana, and healing it half way takes all of that with rF heal :(), but it has unsatisfactory damage output when not transformed. Also very difficult to find a good AI to make full use of the pet.
Snowy Owl has great space, but I haven't used my card yet (If I get it back), so I don't know how well it is for combat or anything. I'm hoping to make it one of my main combat pets, so I can keep it out, and use the inventory for Herb picking~.
