i wanted to play Touhou 6 at school one day, so i dumped it off my flash drive onto one of the school's computers during my computer class. the computers are pretty decent, 2.8 ghz duo processors and 2 gig ram, idk about other stuff. i'm just going to assume it should be able to handle touhou ._. i start up the game, but it freezes on the white loading screen. even leaving it for a while does nothing, and i end up having to forcibly end the process. anyone know why this is happening?

Obvious would be to just bring the installer with you and do that.
Duh.

1. Get a different copy of the game. Yours might be corrupted.
2. Direct X.
3. Make sure you have all the files and the path is correct.
4. Try playing in different screen sizes.
5. Touhou does not run on a MAC. Touhou barely runs on Wine.

Oh yeah, school computers don't have DirectX.
That's the problem.

1. i'm using the same copy as i'm using on my home computer, which works perfectly.
2. i ran dxdiag on the computer and it said it had 9.0c
3. all i did was drag the touhou folder into my usb, so there shouldn't be any missing files... no shortcuts, so i shouldnt need to do anything about paths right? o.o
4. it freezes RIGHT when the window opens, so i don't even have a chance to try to change screen sizes.
5. my school computers are windows PCs :<

Anyways, Touhou specific technical help should probably be asked at a touhou community.
Try Doujinstyle, Gensokyo.org, etc.

Did you copy/paste the folder from the program area?
That's got everything about the game in it.
