I've only just recently used the report button as well.
People are taking things personally, or bringing outside personal problems in not-so-subtle ways (as subtle as they THINK they're being...).
For the people worried about being misinterpreted: If you're about to post something and it makes you think: "Should I be posting this? What if someone takes it the wrong way?" you're definitely safer just not posting it at all, or asking a staff member about it before you do.
For the people annoyed by other people: Ignore them as best as you can. It's what I do.

Truth is, I'm very active. I'm always on Nation, I never leave my computer (Aside from school, food ect.). I only post if I have something to say on the subject.
