Nvidia Boot Agent?

A few days ago, I had to return my computer to factory state (pesky virus); and the other day, my computer just randomly shut down and when it turned back on, this appeared:

I don't know what it was doing; so I just let it do it's business, but when it wouldn't close I shut down my computer, it's opened this menu around 4 times (usually if I leave my computer alone)

I went to Nvidia and downloaded my drivers and installed them; but the menu still appeared this morning.

I'm really not sure what's causing this.

Not even 3 minutes after I posted this, my computer shut down and this popped up again.
It wasn't doing this til after I returned my computer to factory state.

What it's doing is called a PXE boot, or a network boot. This basically means that instead of loading the OS from the hard disk, it's trying to load it from the network. For a home computer, this is not normal.

This usually happens when the hard disk you're supposed to boot from is damaged (can't boot from it now) or the data on the disk is corrupted, so the BIOS doesn't see it as a valid boot device either.

It's hard to say what's causing it, since you're saying it works sometimes. O_o If your computer is shutting down on its own, there is likely a hardware problem of some sort, and the strange booting behaviour is a side effect. Is it a laptop (is it overheating)?

It's a desktop, it's probably my hard-drive because i am aware of it being damaged.
i'll have to contact the company of my computer and get them to fix my computer.

But yeah, sometimes it just loads up fine; and works like a normal computer; then it shuts down and does this.
