Hi, it's my first pots so please let me know if I'm doing something wrong :(
Anyway I'm posting here because while I'm not 100% sure if it's a mabi-related problem or not, it did start right after I installed Mabinogi after a year-long break.
I direct launch mabi, and each time I do, it recreates or moves the Mabinogi web-launch icon. That I can live with. But what I'm having issues with is that, anytime I run a game, any game, that game's icon along with maybe one or two other ones will move themselves to the far right of my icons, where icons would go when they're newly installed. I'm not sure why that's happening, but it started after I installed mabinogi.
Has anyone run into an issue like this before? :(

It recreates the mabi icon because Nexon wants you to go through their website.
Resolutions for the game, and your computers resolutions are different so thats probably why their moving around. Could play in Windowed mode if it bugs you that much.

Yeah, like I said, I don't mind it recreating the icon. But when it recreates the icon, it moves to the first available space (usually the far right), as if it were newly installed. Again, I don't mind that, but when my other icons move like that, I find it weird. Also, it's not all of my icons moving, just 1-3 of them move at a time, whether I play mabi or not, am windowed or not, or if I'm playing some other game. I even just loaded up Solidworks and that happened.
Thanks for the reply though and thanks for the welcome :)

It sounds at first glance that somehow your resolution is being changed when you open a game and the desktop is compensating by moving icons around?

Again, not ALL of my icons are moving around. Resolution changes tend to move icons that are near each other around. This isn't happening, and as I said before, even programs that don't change resolution will move my icons. Let me see if I can post a picture.

Hm the pics don't seem to want to show up. Are they too big? If you right click and open in a new tab or window they seem to work.

Pic fail o.o;; And it doesn't have to be all. My icons change (not all, only a few) sometimes cause my laptops resolution a bit funny.
What's your normal resolution?

Yeah the pics won't work, but a right click > open in new tab works for me, on Chrome anywya.
My normal resolution is 1280 x 1024. After doing some tests, opening ANY program causes the icons to move. Also, it's not icons along the edge of the screen either, like when my comp use to go into 640 x 480 mode on XP. It's random icons anywhere, on the edge, or in the middle of my desktop.

It's because of fullscreen mode.
Do you have your desktop set to where it stays on a grid?

Yes I'm well aware it's not as good of a game.......yes it sucks :( money horribly spent.
Yeah, all of my icons snap to grid, but again, why would programs that include Microsoft Word cause it to happen? Also, thanks Ampersand for fixing my pictures.
I've come up with a temporary solution: move everything into folders. It just woulda been nice to find a solution that let me be lazy with my mouseclicks :'(

Well by the look of the taskbar at the bottom, looks like Win7!

Who knows, it could be even XP with the theme overhaul.
