Attack ... otter chases farmer Joe
The farmer had initially rescued the calamity-prone creature in Tulla, County Clare, Ireland, after it got its head stuck in a crisp bag and almost suffocated.
But the cranky mammal didn't take kindly to being manhandled and BIT his rescuer.
He then chewed his way out of a canvas sack before leaping out of a broken back window in Joe's van.

I read this and couldn't help but laugh. It's kind of cute and ridiculous at the same time.

This is why you rank animal taming people. :sigh:
Otters though, I remember this girl got hospitalized where I grew up because she was attacked by a river otter and bitten really bad... Lesson: Stay away from wild animals.

Hey, the farmer didn't bite the otter, the otter bit the farmer.
I say poor farmer. Just trying to be nice to the little thing...

Hmm, this story reminds me of
a poor, unfortunate bard that got mobbed by otters a couple of years back...
But seriously, the guy should have figured the otter would have "attacked" after being rescued. Animals are at their fiercest when their lives are on the line, and if the otter was at the point of suffocating, then it would most definitely be the most dangerous, once it started to get its composure back.

Reading "The Sun" in the source link always makes me a bit uneasy, but nice story I guess.

Interesting...
Poor Farmer.
Note to self: Just let the animal die so that it don't viciously snap back at me for trying to help

It depends on the animal. WHAT IF IT WAS A LIL' BUNNY, OR... OR...!

If it was a cute little animal then, sure!
I'll help it. As long as it doesn't come and bite me after I help it or as long as it isn't foaming at the mouth or anything.
