  Aye, it is indeed real day. What to do today for extra stones. I think I'll make a couple more shrubs and maybe another tree.

  I believe the limit is level based, and the game actually tells you when the limit is exhausted. I think it was back in lvl3, where I had planted grass and a bush. In the build menu, the [daily kon bonus] description that was usually blue, was greyed out. When I levelled the homestead, the description became blue again. And the limit I hit did not affect the one for flowers, since I had just one of those.
  
  I'm assuming one can safely plant things and expect a daily bonus, so long as the kon bonus description is blue when you're in the build menu for that item.

  I know they weren't useless. I was trying to get loki to be quiet about my well being useless >.> Which he must be jealous of as well. I want a house too so I'm not too jealous :P

  Btw, if you need a lighter shade of a color. Use the paint mixer and experiment with different paints to see what you get.

  I added a little bush + some fences. I'll be adding roughly 2 more fences to complete that little thing I have going on to the left. No use wasting stones to complete a fence behind the hut, though. I'm still debating how to position my fields and such.. may also save up for a Well. Who knows.
