First of all, this isn't an article about the enchant skill, for that i suggest you check:
Candy's Enchanting Guide - Mabinogi Guru Forums
if you don't know what an enchant does, please refer yourself to mabinogi world wiki.
for most part, this guide focus on long term enchant, and on best stuff available, thus might require
more effort than many people wants to put.
1. Why would i want to use enchant?
Enchants are somewhat like steroid, they gives you more stats than you could get without them, and eventualy
they becomes the only efficient way to raise some stats, like damage and critical %. Just as an example,
the enchant set i use (including the ones on weapon) nets me +99 max damage.
2. I don't wanna spent several millions on enchant and then fail QQ
Enchants tends to follow this rule: the better the benefit, the greater the risk. so, low risk will still yeild a
decent benefit. but if you want the best stuff, you will have to use alot of money and time on these,
but take your time, no need to get sick of it. Enchants aren't really a priority either when you still have
trouble getting regular incomes.
3.Enchant set
3.1 damage set
a good point for damage set is that, it's never a bad (unless you are a mage). It's not situation and is probly
the best set to speed up your dungeon run, thus getting exp/money faster. the disadvantage is, it's probably the
most expensive one as well.
boot:
diamond/free raven boot;
Raven boots can be found in solea cave chest, or in bot's shop in dunbarton. these boots are currently the best
available for damage; the requirement are easy to meet, and they are somewhat cheap.
gauntlet/glove:
wooden needle peaceful/wild boar;
while wooden needle is pretty hard to get enchanted on glove, it's well worth the trouble, for it's an awesome
enchant. peaceful is the strict best for gloves if you mainly melee, else it's a +3 wild boar for range.
helm:
Union Easy peace dustin helm;
Well, yeah, awesome helm but will some terrible requirement for union, and a excessively hard to get suffix.
Very hard to get, and not wortht he trouble if your not always planning to meet the age requirement.
Diamond/corundum tragic/wild boar;
+9/10 max damage, relatively easy and cheap to get across, the best realistic combination. tragic requires
potion poisoning tough and doesn't suit range.
Acessories:
corundum earthquake/lilly
+12 max damage, earthquake for melee, lilly for range.
armor:
=> note: armor is more or less a matter of preference depending on various factor.
basic/Victorious avenger;
+18 max damage, +26 for melee max damage if potion poisoned, for victorious,equivalent of +22/30 for basic
after considering title, My personnal opinion is that Basic is overated. enchant for heavy armor, so it yeilds
great defense at same, ideal for people who want/needs to tank a bit. No accessory.
Ancient darkness;
potential +27 max damage, can use an accessory with it (so +39 if using one). This is especialy
hard to make considering both enchants are pretty rare and have a range of possible outcome. for people who don't
really need tanking abilities.
weapon:
shadow hunter/cyprus/wolf hunter/diamond/goddess spike;
for dual weilding purpose. shadow hunter is best if you meet the requirements. cyprus is good if you dual
weild with an ego and meet the requirements. diamond and wolf hunter are easy to meet the
requirement for a nice +6. Goddess is the best damage wise, but it makes your weapon cost 10x more. I don't
like paying over 10k for my broad swords repair, but some people don't mind.
the Rich violent/destruction/crocodile;
For two handed weapon. alot of damage added. violent gives some crit and always is +20, while destruction
might give more damage. minus alot of dex using these, recommended for high level player, if wanting to
get a nice 2 handed weapon.Crocodile would be best for damage, but comes with restriction and can cause your
weapon to cost 30k a point to repair at edern.
3.2 crit set
i will only list the best set here.
boot:
Musician's elegant;
+12 crit, needs some music rank, musician's is pretty hard to get, might consider fearless as an intermdiate.
elegant is also very rare, might consider earnest or thief as an intermediate.
glove:
wooden needle elegant;
+11 crit, wooden needle is that awesome... see previous for elegant.
hat:
stiff earnest tail cap;
+13 crit, easy to get. blunt can be used instead of stiff, but it's more restrictive and way harder to get.
accessory:
fearless cornflower/earnest;
+7 crit, relatively easy to make.
cloth:
=>i wont make the math, but cloth are the best choice for optimal crit.
unstable/fealess earnest;
+7 crit, very easy to make.
weapon:
stiff/lizard counter/earnest (bipennis probly);
+14 crit from enchants, best option for melee crit if uisng a bipennis, best option for range crit too, probly on
a composite bow.
stiff/lizard revolver crossbow
+20/22 crit, for crossbow only.
stiff/lizard deadly bastard sword;
+25 crit, best option for magic crit. deadly bastard sword comes from collection book in cor.
Shield:
Adamant Marshal/earnest:
+8 crit; somewhat difficult to make, but still way easier than getting musician's.
3.3 crit damage set:
a set combining the bests fomr both, probly only good for archers, mainly elf.
boots:
Musician's Raven;
+7 crit, +8 max damage, not much else to say.
glove:
wooden needle peaceful/wild boar
i know, same as damage set, but it is that awesome.
hat:
stiff wild boar;
+10 crit, +3 max, easy to make.
armor:
Principle's darkness;
+6/16 crit if using the right title from principle; possible +15 max damage fomr darkness. personnal suggestion
is to use maiz title if meleeing and master of crit title if ranging.
weapon:
stiff/Lizard spike;
+10 crit, 14 max damage. very easy to make a composite bow with these. other than bow i don't like this
combination, while still being effective to some point.
accessory:
your choice in between the ones seen in damage set or crit set, you could also mix fearless with
earthwuake/lilly.
3.4 Newb enchant
some enchant to know when you start: giant, kobold, thief, fox, sacrificial, imp.
3 generic suffix: giant is the classic suffix for melee, kobold for range(dex) and thief for a bit of crit.
fox is generic prefix, sacrificial is good as long as you don't get rC+ smash. basically,
get a stiff tail cap, enchant with one of the 3 generic suffix.for glove and boot, its
sacrificial/fox with one of the 3 generic suffix. imp is fine, but a bit expensive for a newbie.
while not being optimal, this set is easy to make while doing your regular basic/intermediate dungeon,
and thus being cheap to make.
3.5 Giant's melee damage set
while giants don't have access to all the combiantion human can, they still have very good possibility. Except
for weapon, Metal needle is the best prefix available, thus i won't list prefix exept for weapon and for
ligth armor.
Helm:
Burst knight/easy peaca;
+10 str at best, and you should settle for less (at least for long term). I would
recommend burst knight because of the possible set effect of boom resist and because Easy peaca enchant is
way way harder to get, while not much better.
Glove:
Peaceful;
+15 str, +10 hp, defnitely the best available for long term. somewhat hard to get and enchant, but in my
opinion still easier than getting +10 str burst knight.
Boots:
Burst knight/The alchemist;
+10 str again, see helm for burst knight comment. The alchemist would be better, but it comes with a
x10 repair downside, and doesn't help boom resist set. i would personnaly go for burst knight again.
Accessory:
corundum earthquake;
+12 max damage, to be used with light armor.
armor:
Avenger;
+12/+20 max damage (normal/potion poisoned), for those who wants good damage while keeping some defense.
more expensive to make than for human because of lack of cheap heavy armor armor.
Ancient darkness;
Possible +27, very to make, even harder than for human cause giant's light armor have less durability.
to be used with an accessory and by those who don't care much about defense.
Weapon:
for dual weild;
Cyprus/reliable/wolf hunter/goddess/shadow hunter... any at least +6 max damage enchant basicaly
and spike for suffix;
in order for damage: goddess> shadow hunter> reliable=cyprus>all the +6 available.
2handed;
Untamed/Titanic violent/destruction/Crocodile;
I listed untamed since i'm not sure if Titanic is out. crocodile would be best for damage, but can cause repair
cost to explode. Destruction is somewhat random, so not recommended to try many time on that rare broad
axe you might have. Violent adds a bit of crit, and is stable +20, rA so not much risk of failure.
Shield:
while shields don't usualy fit the optic of maximum damage, i wanted to keep them out of here, but i already
see everyone asking for it, so...
Corundum Burst Knight;
+6 max and 10 str, for +10 max damage overall, may help to complete boom resist set for the special occasions.
3.6 Mage's set
usualy, for mage's set, you try to go for Mp, and crit, and then int, with that in mind i wuld suggest this set.
also note, Since it is very recommended to have reduced mp consumption set effect, it might be recommended to
either use mana wizard on either cloth or shield if you find one, or simplier mana magician on an accessory to
finish the +10 point needed, but hard to get without expensive stuff. The following consider you don't need any
more mp reduction point.
hat:
Solid/smart/curing will-o-the-wisp (will-o)/wateerfall;
solid hat comes from a very old event, so can be pretty hard ot get one now, also -10 balance, so be sure to have
enough int. smart is easy to get and is +5 mp, and +2 will. sharp can be alternative for crit. will-o enchant
is pretty common, rB, gives 10mp and 3 int, perfect enchant for most mage.Curing waterfall would be best for mp,
but they are both r8 enchant wich needs stepping, also, the only one available for now, since castle is down, for
waterfall is easy peaca, i don't recommend it.
Glove:
Wooden needle/sharp will-o;
wooden needle would be best for crit, but since it is so expensive, and doesn't fit well to get set effect,
you might preffer the cheaper and more all around sharp. will-o cause no better option.
Boots:
Musician's/sharp Mana/will-o;
Musician's very hard to get and goes bad with set effect again, might prefer sharp. will-o cause no better
option. Mana gives +20 mp, and is now easier than ever to put on shoes, but is limited to The dawn dropped item
as step enchant.
cloth:
Unstable waterfall/will-o;
Unstable is +4 crit, and a minor -balance. very easy to get (and cheap). waterfall is r8, and is somewhat hard
to get for only +2-6 more mp compared to will-o, but if you can get it, its better.
Shield:
Solid/adamant/sharp will-o;
Solid is mp, but adamant is alot of crit and balance. sharp is cheap version. will-o is that polivalent.
For adamant, i suggest getting an already enchanted light hetero from a player's shop (these comes from gacha)
since adamant is kinda a pain to enchant.
Wand:
Stiff/Lizard Wizard/earnest;
if you always keep your wand equiped when you dungeon, go for wizard (formal is cheaper alternative).
since when you unequip wand with a +mp enchant, you go to negative mp (was the case before, im not sure
it is still, might want confirmation) you might prefer earnest for suffix, if like me, you often switch
with your melee weapon/bow.
Acessory:
Sharp Blizzard's/cornflower;
sharp for lack of better option, blizzard is +15 mp, cornflowr is +10 mp and the equivalent of 3 crit
in will/luck. a matter of preference.

Got any question? Ask me. Was first article, so any comment will be more than
welcomed. Might be more coming up.
