Internet suddenly failing

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. Ever since the big storm that had caused a lot of severe weather warnings in my neighborhood, my internet has been fluctuating from bad to terrible.

I don't remember my last speed tests but I'm sure they earned a B grade. This test however, I got an F-....

I don't know anything that could be wrong in my house. No one has touched the modem and we never even lost power.

The two computers and iPod in my house are all running slow as hell even if loading a 30 second Youtube video at minimum quality. My cable TV works fine though.

I've no idea what to do :|
If I call Comcast they only offer us a "free" repair service which costed us $30 last time it happened.

it probably has something to do with comcast
if you were in the area effected by the storm, the reason is probably because of the recent weather

ISPs tend to fix things rather quickly in this area
but because of the storm there is no forsure fix time, assuming you haven't already had it fixed

This happened to me after Cyclone Carlos.. It fixed itself after a few weeks.
