(Note:Rant/freak out ) I know theres a word for it, but I cant remember it, its when people are getting all stressed and freaked out about something, so you in turn, even if originally you were not, start getting all stressed and freaked out....And now Im all stressed and freaked out. I have finals coming up and 3 are annoying me, Science, Math and Spanish. I mean, Earth Science is a joke, I pretty much talk to my friend and dont pay attention for 70% of the class, and still get 90s-100 on all the tests by glancing at notes the night before, I remember all the stuff, but people are still freaking out, and I have no clue why, I feel that I should start getting all freaked to....Math Im actually concerned about, I bought a review book thing, but some people are saying that the test is easier then our teachers tests, but Im not doing AS good in that class 85-100s with an occasional rare slip.....And then theres a Spanish thing, IDK if I just have to talk to my teacher in spanish or what, but I have horrible fright or that kinda thing, Im probably gonna do real bad on that......
SO MY QUESTION: How do you stay cool for finals? I mean, I get nervous realllly easily, but usually just use logic to get rid of it, but these finals are really getting to me, I have like another 2 weeks or something, I guess Ill study, but how do I stay calm so it actually helps me?

To be honest, I've never been nervous for any high school tests or finals. University is another story. Do lots of problems. Do more than what your teachers have assigned you. That might help keep your mind too busy to be stressed out. Also doing more problems gives you more experience. More experience gives your more confidence. More confidence means less stress. Also if it is any consolation, high school is a joke(assuming you are in high school).

Just focus. Have confidence in yourself.
Think about all that you've learned this semester (or quarter) in school. All that learning wasn't for nothing! You obviously know more and you've grown wiser. Even if it's simple things...
We're not perfect. We still have to review and work on our skills. Heck, I wish I was a genius too!
You can definitely do it!
Get your good night's rest before every final and kick some ass!

Study as hard as you can so you don't have any time to worry, take the test, then resign yourself to whatever grade you get.

I naturally don't really care for finals so I don't study.
Yet I still get 90's on the finals.....

I never study, or listen in class :T. It's really boring.. and all I have to do is skim through the textbook before the exam.
Exams are more like vacation week for me; no school, go to exam, go home. Except I have to spend two hours on the bus/skytrain of course...
The only exam I ever ever get stressed out for is music history/theory, and that's because I have a really bad teacher, and my mom refuses to switch. To deal with stress: if you know the material, play games. :thumb:, if you don't, study (duh~).

You don't care about your education AND go to an easy school? gg

Assuming that you're in high school, and it's a public school, the finals probably aren't going to be horribly hard. You should definitely spend a lot of time studying though if you feel that you need to.
And you can do what I do... convince yourself that finals aren't important enough to worry about. If you belong to a religion think about how a simple test won't make a bit of difference in the afterlife. If you're atheist think about how your life isn't going to be ruined just because you get a bad grade on one test in high school.

It's really not that easy.
And I do care.
If I didn't, I wouldn't pay attention in class and get 90's.

I meant I care for my grades.
I just don't care about studying.

1) Eat properly
2) Sleep properly
3) Get enough exercise and fresh air
If you take care of yourself, then the exams will take care of themselves. I find that if you get enough sleep/good food/feel good, 3 hours of solid focused studying is much less stressful (and more effective!) than cramming for 8 hours+ the night before.
