Not really sure where this thread should go, and since this is a technical issue (sort of) I'm going to post it here owo;;;
So my last Skullcandy earphones just broke on me ><;;. It seems like earphones will only last roughly 2-3 months for me then break. I usually use Skullcandy but i bought a noisepollution earphone and that broke after a week ==;;.
So does anybody know any earphones that are noisecancelling and last a decent while D:? I dont really want to spend too much on it though. If the only earphones that will last are those expensive ones, then I guess ill give it some thought.
EDIT: if it helps, the problem is that only one side of the ear phone / head will produce the audio. If I move around too much or sit in a weird position (according to the earphones) then the connection will skrew up and i usually cant hear anything through one of the heads.

Skullcandies are the cheapest/good quality I can find sadly :/. Dr. Dre beats seem good, but they are hella expensive.

If it's really that bad, try getting extended warranty. And I'm pretty sure beats go around 200$+...
If it's new that is.

agh i think ill just resort to buying a new skull candy head phone and maybe keep it in a case when i stick it in my back pack :/.

I hope you haven't bought those skullcandies yet D:
Well how much can you spend?
And don't buy skullcandies they're known for their bad sound quality if you spend more than 20 dollars.
If you can spend around 50 dollars I suggest getting the
Sony MDR-710LP
Those have been the best headphones I've ever tried, especially have good bass unlike Skullcandy.
Or if you can't spend that much money or rather feel safer buying headphones (in this case earphones) in real-life I suggest buying
Sennhaiser CX-150. These are amazing, my friend let me borrow them while my MDR-710LP broke. They quality is amazing for that price.
I ended up buying my MDR-710LP again because I can't stand earphones but it's your choice.
Also I almost bought the
Panasonic RP-HT227 headphones but due to my lack of on-hand knowledge I decided to go to my beloved MDR-710LP.
None of those are noise-cancelling but neither are skullcandies.

I bought these a bit over a year ago and they still work as if they were brand new
they're a bit over $50 at walmart (which is where I got mine)
but you can't hear a single noise that goes on in the background
the sound quality is amazing and I think it was worth more than what I paid for it.
here
I bought mine in the store when I tried it out so I know it's not an online-only order thing.

wait i meant earphones D: and by noisecancelling i mean the ones with the rubber heads. those cancel out noises well enough for me.
also, tokiko, the one that you suggested: Sennhaiser CX-150, can i buy it off that site? like is it trustworthy D:? and can it be bought for $20 elsewhere? or just from that site?
and to everyone else, i havent bought anything yet. still deciding T_T

Atm Im using the Dr.Dre In-Ear headphones wich are really nice, but expensive too.
If you want nearly the same good sound quality but for a much cheaper price, u should check out "KOSS" stereophones.
At the beginning I was surprised myself how good the sound actually is and for that price you wont get anything better in my oppinion.
For example:
http://www.koss.com/koss/kossweb.nsf/p?openform&pc^eb^PLUG
Surely not the "most stylish" earphones, but good soundquality and wearing comfort > looks
I actually used the earbuds above for over 2 years until they broke on me. Then I got the beats from dr.dre and I gotta say, soundquality, wearing comfort and style are not that special and unique that it could justify the high prices.

Oh, ear-buds.
If you have a F.Y.E. store (They have lots of them where I live thought it'd be the same for you) near you can buy them in person or you can try and check if they have them in a store like best buy (but I couldn't find exact model on their online site)
Or if there's no F.Y.E. stores near you it's really down to buying the Sennheiser CX150 at F.Y.E's online store or the
Sennheiser CX200 at newegg for the same price.
Sennheiser's and Wal-Mart's website lists the headphones at 40.00$
Also Sennheiser's website doesn't even list the CX-150 so I'm guessing they're now outdated.
And I never bought from F.Y.E.'s online store so I can't say ):

Don't buy directly from AKG because they were forced to settle for Chinese slave labour, except for their top lines which you're probably not interested in anway.
Pesonally I'm either going to get used AKG K 242 HD or Beyerdynamic DT990, but I guess both are "somewhat" pricey. :P
Alternatively you could try and repair yours, or have them repaired.

ok so right now im down to debating between tokiko's Sennhaiser CX-150 and unknown's koss earphones.
Unknown, how good was the sound quality? and does anybody know which one i should get T_T? sort of leaning towards tokiko's because it looks good and im assuming that its better since walmart sells it for 40...IDK T_T;

I got some plain white Sony earbuds for 15$ I know their earbuds, but they are worth it especially for temporary if you want to buy a better pair in the future.
I have some skull candy earphones too and as do my boyfriend and his completely broke too, my wiring got funky at one point but thankfully my father fixed them. I do agree and sometimes thing skullcandies can be a little more frail than expected.

Out of curiosity, what did your friend give you?
