So yeah, I bought this [s]f*cked up[/s] PSP 2000 from a [s]black guy[/s] friend from school a couple days ago for $20. Really cheap and I glad I bought it. Not to mention it already came with 5.00 m33-6 firmware installed so I didn't even need to go through the trouble of installing it.
Pretty much I've fixed it up for the most part. Bought a replacement for the battery cover (It didn't come with one, and it looks like a part of the PSP that secures the cover on is broken, but I figure the cover should stay on without a problem since you're practically keeping it in place while you're playing it). But the only problem I've encountered is with the control stick.
The control stick is somewhat screwed up. It isn't bad enough to the point where it's unplayable, rather that it will probably be a problem when playing games where the moment calls for not wasting a single movement (i.e. Monster Hunter, Dissidia).
Me and my brother already plan on opening it up soon to see if there's any way we can fix it. May as well wipe the inside of the screen while we're at it (there seems to be some dirty stuff inside the screen). Anyone know anything in particular that we should watch out for while operating on this? I won't mind too much if we screw up seeing as how I planned on lending it to a friend so we can play 4 player Monster Hunter again.
