i keep hearing from people that its not worth using and doesn't help very much. I just want to know if it 's helpful or just stick to my old equips?

My initial question is, how often do you fight exploding monsters?

well the question really goes to when soloing rabbie adv., castle and barri adv.(actually i'm not worry about this one) if its worth using explosion equips on these dungeons

I think it would be better to attack them from a distance (range/magic) so it doesn't affect you
In barri/rabbie you can kill 1 and it clears the whole room :awesome:

lol yea i guess you can take out rabbie on the list. castle's smaller rooms? i do have an explosion set collecting dust on my assist card =/ still wondering if its useful or not

Judging from the wiki, it says that you can't be knocked down when the effect is in place, though I think you only get ~10% damage reduction (depending on the points you have) :what:
But the Wolf/Horse sprite only do 1~10 damage on exploding, so the only thing you have to worry about are the bears.
If I'm correct, you'll only get 10 damage reduced, so I'd still use range/pets to finish them off (still needs to test) @_@
Or you could attack through barrier spikes to take the explosion
But bears don't spawn that much, and I usually get very few rooms of them

I get a huge reduction in damage with an explosion resistance set. It is more than 10%, believe me. Strong Exploding Skeles in Rabbie do about 45-50 damage to me, where they used to do closer to 200-300.

It is also helpful in Provoc HM. :3

If you have extremely low HP, it probably isn't too helpful against some of the stronger explosive monsters.

not really, nice to have but not even close to essential :I
small spidies -> 10-20 dmg so bleh
large spider can be avoided :/ but it does hurt :D

Since when does helpful = essential? You say you're disagreeing but you're actually proving their point...

Having a explosion set just for those dungeons is worth it. I also have stomp combined with it. Gives me a duel purpose set thats not my normal set.

it sure is helpful. i've duo'ed rabbie adv 3 with a lvl 1k+ (i am under 1k) he had no explosion set and kept dying in every room, sometimes more than once per room. it was really irksome... for serious. i had an explosion set but i hardly died. also, i've partied with people in prov who didn't have explode resist who died at the spiders, while the giant spider took about half my max hp instead of killing me (i was wounded before the explosion). so yeah it does help a LOT lot lot. unfortunately i've lost a burst knight item during a ch1 crash and my explode set is still incomplete. therefore i avoid doing rabbie adv's and such for the time being.

If you've got the inventory for extra sets of equipment sure.

It's useful against the occasional explosion monsters that sneaks up on you.
Not too good against a group of strong explosion monsters. One windmill on these means you will usually die, even with the set on.
