I don't know why, but I've been experiencing these really terrible lag spikes... it's not computer lag, but it just basically ''freezes'' my character and I can't do anything, but I can see other things moving and i can see my character breathing and the graphic performance is great. When I played back in 2009 and 2010 it worked fine with almost no lag at all. I uninstalled the game last year and when I downloaded it again I've been having this lag ever since. I have a really good broadband connection and while I may not live in California, I am a 6 hour drive away, so location is also not a problem... My graphics card should be fine and even though I already took up pretty much all of the space on my computer I don't experience computer lag...
The lag usually happens when I move stuff out of my inventory, or when I use Magnum Shot or other skills. It also happens when I summon my pet. A lot of the time I'll have the lag and I won't be able to move at all, but my enemy can move, allowing him to attack me while I can't attack back, causing me to die. I've died countless times because of this... I really don't think it's my connection and my computer isn't old and it works completely fine... I used to be able to play on channel 1 and not experience any kind of lag, but now I get tons of lag no matter what channel im in or how high or low the traffic is.
I play on Alexina, if that helps... I've heard from people that Alexina is a really laggy server but I've been playing on that server for nearly 2 years and I've only started to experience the lag now...

It's simply just server side lag, it isn't you. Alexina Channel 5 has smaller lag spikes than the other channels if you're going for anything dungeon or combat related that you need to be lagless for.
It doesn't really matter how long you've been playing, it's just that the server that it runs on is just terrible at the moment.

So it's something that happens to every player? Is it temporary...? does Nexon ever do anything to fix this kind of problem? I haven't played in a while and it's the first time I've actually experienced this believe it or not.
:T_T:
But thanks for the tip though! Channel 5 has only a tad bit of lag. I think I can run my dungeons in a little bit of peace again.

So far as most people can tell, get used to it and run with friends. It hasn't gone away, it's just getting worse.

Yeah. This is basically why I don't solo SM's very much anymore. I let my pet do most of the combat when there's multiple enemies. It may be soothed by upcoming matinance, but I doubt it. But like Armi said, run with your friends and things should be easier for you.
