I was taking a break about a month back, and trying out another game (Wonderking, feel free to mock, god knows my guild does enough of it) which was shortly bought out (At least the production company) by Nexon.
This led to most of the community bashing on Nexon, and posting how much they hate the company, but some people still liked the games, and still played them.
I'm just wondering how many people despise Nexon (Or any company), but still play the game, even if they have no intention of supporting the producer.
---
I, myself, despise Nexon. Whether its Nexon America, or Nexon Inc. in Korea, I think they make pointless decisions, and care very little about their consumer.
They do things that make little to no sense, and are completely illogical by a security stand point (Web Launch), as well as not providing support, or even apologies for failures in their services (Banning people, or forcing changes).
I also think its simply retarded of them to have the links to Facebook profiles. My co-leader in my guild was previously in another guild, where the guild leader (30+), was soliciting young girls online for nudes, and various other things. ANY game will have the same issue, and posting direct links to Facebook, which is very insecure about privacy (Honestly, I can go as far as getting a SSN with basic information).

And yes, this is me bashing Nexon, as I just found out a known pedophile has been playing online under a new name, and is back to doing what he did before.

Most of us love the games and hate on Nexon.
We believe they butcher their games any chance they get.

I'm just hoping that either Europe or the United States goes after Vivendi and Nexon for anti-competition practices.
Vivendi: Blizzard, Vivendi (I forget what companies they acquired before), Activision, and a few others. They own some of the largest titles for MMO, and for console games now.
Nexon: Acquires multiple companies, especially ones that feature games like Maplestory.
What sucks is, I worked at Activision at one point (BETA testing in high school), and they were a great company to work for (Laid back, and very easy going, and friendly), and took pride in the games they let out (For the most part). Once Vivendi took over, almost every person I know who worked there and left, some of which went to EA, which was previously one of the worst game companies -ever-.

Joining the Facebook fan page is at your own discretion. All the information is public, you can see it without becoming a fan. There's very little they offer exclusively to fans, aside from random NX give-aways that you have to be a FB stalker to win.
Displaying the fans is default for Facebook. Everything on Facebook is Facebook's responsibility, not Nexon's, so I don't see how Nexon is at fault for supporting a popular online community.
Personally, I think Nexon fails pretty hard as a company, but I don't hate them. A lot of the hate is blind rage imo ("omg I have to change my password every 3 months?!?! FU NEXON!!!"). Customer Service is the only thing I really despise about them, the long maintenances, service changes, and everything else is pretty tolerable.

Like their games, hate them.
Pretty much everything has been said already.

Nexon isn't p2p though.
They don't make nearly as much money as Blizzard.
They go too far with this excuse of course, but its still a valid excuse for at least HALF the crap they pull on us.

Had it up to here with the attitude, personally. If you have issues, talk about the issues individually, and sure I have a few. But blind rage? no.

Hey now.
Every once in a while Nexon makes you want to kick a small animal.
"We banned 2000 players randomly to show that duplicating gold is bad. Have a nice day."
"Edit: Fixed a bug in which characters who have reached level 50 are randomly banned. If you have already been banned, please submit a ticket for review."
"You're right. We have confirmed that you did indeed lose the item you said you lost. However, we cannot refund the item with the enchant and the color. So the Pure Black Dustin armor you had with Marble on it is now going to be refunded as a puke green regular dustin with no marble enchant."

Pika pikachu pika pi. Pikachu pika pi.
(Pika loves how this applies for all it's games. You should see how many players on Combat Arms get banned a day for the most random of reasons that they never did but keep coming back anyway.)

Mabi is my favorite game.
Nexon is my least favorite company. I don't hate all of them, but I hate the guys who make the big decisions which results in the normal staff having no choice but to do retarded things.
