Well, when looking through the Mabinogi folder, I found this folder called "Mp3", and I'm pretty sure it has the music that goes with the game, which seemed to be simple MP3 files, and it would not be the first time that I've seen a game with it's music being simple mp3 files. However, I've noticed for awhile how there's no background music in the second continent. Not in the prairie, not in Ellions (or whatever the name of the elf-land is), and not in Physis either. Not even in Avon and not even when talking to it's NPCs (except during Hamlet scenes). I assumed that it was intentional, but now thinking about how my version of Mabinogi is old and is mostly just a patched up version instead of a fresh download and after googling a bit about this, I'm not so sure.
So I got three questions: Am I missing some mp3 files? Also, is it possible to do something like; get some of my fav MP3s, rename them to replace some of the game mp3s and listen to my fav music in-game that way? And if it is, is it legal or is it not?

...Ellions? The ****?
1. You're missing MP3 files, yes. I'd assume that downloading the latest MP3 files download from the main website would fix that, but I can neither confirm or deny that as I haven't been to any new areas [though I downloaded the most recent one]. Iria isn't meant to have background music.
2. Yes. And it's so redundantly easy that you can figure it out yourself.
3. Who cares? Technically no, but nobody would ever know unless you told them or they went into your folder and listened to the mp3 and was like "OH, THIS ISN'T THE RIGHT BGM"

lol, ok. Thanks for the help! I might download a new MP3 pack for the game later today.
Also, does anyone have self-made MP3 packs for the game?

I never knew that. I'll try it sometime, but what does master otaku soundset sound like? I can't get it right now.
