Just how good is FRAPS?

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. I found a lesser used one. It hasn't killed my game FPS entirely, and it hasn't exactly been publicized. It's free, and you can record anything with it. Just set the size of the screen, or use full screen.

vdsoft has proven to be an EXCELLENT software.
By far I've favored it more over Fraps.

Just haven't found a proper full version yet.

I would describe it as a wild PVP beat-em-up, with heroes/villains from different periods of time. Its definitely better than its lame counterpart rumble fighter.

From what these guys are saying...I might as well just record with something like Xfire than edit it with Vegas.

As mentioned above, I use CamStudio. I don't record games with it, but it works fine. I've heard great things about Camtasia. It seems to be the most customizable one.
