Hi guys! I need opinions, you see I have 10,600 NX free to spend on a pet right now but I have problems tryin to decide which one to get. I currently own 3 pets: Oak Magic Broom (use it for transport), Japanese Bobtail Cat (use it for combat) and Snowy Owl (Inventory). My bobtail cat is nice, still get killed alot but is a good help, and I was thinking I should get a bear since I heard bears are great for combat but the other day I really needed a mount and my broom ran out of time which got me thinking I should really get a second mount so now I guess I'd like to get a mount pet which is good at combat too (?) or what do you think?
Since I already have a flying pet (my broom which I love) I thought maybe a horse? I know thoroughbred is the best horse so I could get 300 more NX to get that one but is there alot of difference between Thoroughbred, Shire and Haflinger? (overall.. speed.. combat.. support.. Inventory.. ect..) cause if difference is not much I'd really like a 2 person mount to bring a friend with me lawls I'd really love if I could get the white unicorn but theres no way to get that one now, right?
So.. what do you all think?

Most people nowadays have their own mounts, or will plan on getting mount so the cases where you can actually use the two seaters for two people are very rare. The difference in speed between Thoroughbred and the rest of the mounts is very enormous. I have a few Thoroughbreds and a few of the other mounts. Never do I actually summon the other mounts to ride or for combat.
More often, rather than the damage, speed of a pet will save you more often. The higher the difficulty of the dungeon, the less pets will do, and more often, the amount of damage they do don't matter too much. They usually can't critical on monsters either at those dungeons.
Thoroughbred all the way for speed/mounting/combat purposes. To me, it is ideal to have like 9-10 of them for combat/inventory purposes, but that is a crazy amount of NX.

If you don't have a Thoroughbred, get one, no questions asked.

Halflinger and Shire, basically same horse different looks, speed 13.
Thoroughbred, a bit faster, speed 16. The inventory space isn't much different between these 3, 6x6, 6x7, 5x7.
I currently have a Halflinger, a White Ostrich, and a Oak Broom as my mounts. The Halflinger gets used most in dungeons or for long journeys in Uladh. If it's in Iria, I usually use my broom instead unless I'm taking a friend along for the ride.
As far as combat value, in my experience a Bear is a fair amount better than a Horse, though on the tough bosses I just use it for assistance. I haven't been in really tough dungeons much, and even when I have been the "extra" speed a Thoroughbred would give seems to be of not much importance. I do plan on getting a Thoroughbred once g10 arrives though, I'm praying that they give us the color selectable ones in the big update on June 9th.

Throroughbred is definitely your best choice here. As Demeter said the Shire and the Halflinger are almost the same. However, the Throroughbred is indeed far superior to the other two in both speed and combat. Likewise, the Thoroughbred is also superior to the bear in combat. While the bear is marginally stronger (my bear is only stronger by about 5 max damage, and both my bear and Thoroughbred are in their 50's), the speed of the Thoroughbred is far, far more useful. Sorry, but don't listen to Demeter on this one; I do advanced and hard mode dungeons on a daily basis and I've had countless times where the slow attacking speed of the bear killed me because it could not intercept a monster that was charging at me quickly enough. The Thoroughbred, on the other hand, has enough speed to intercept basically any enemy quickly and has enough speed to also intercept MULTIPLE enemies with quick successive swipes, which is of the utmost importance in multi-aggro situations (basically, any and all higher level dungeons and Shadow Missions).
Basically, it's absolutely worth it to shell out for the extra 300NX to get the Thoroughbred and you should do get it if it's possible for you.

Thanks guys! I gotta say after reading all your opinions I feel more excited to get a Thoroughbred, I always heard people talk about Thoroughbred's speed but always thought that speed was as a transport but never thought that speed also affect when in combat. Now that I know, I definitely want my own thoroughbred, I guess I was just thinking about getting a Shire because its a 2 seater and thinking to ride with my love one xD then again my love one has a horse and a broom so it probably shouldnt matter
And you know what? while mabi was down I did a survey and now I have 11,000 NX so I can afford a Thoroughbred now lol
but heard about issues with the premium shop so maybe I should wait a little before purchasing my horse :/

Get a Thorobred. Or two. Or five. XD
Seriously, there's a guy on our server with at least 10 (he uses for GB). I only have two but I may get a third. I ran out of summon time with just one, but have not yet done so with two.
