Ok, after troubleshooting my brains out, im still getting no signal input.
I hear a small beep when the computer starts, but its so quiet i can barly hear it, so im assuming the motherboard is passing post. I know for sure it fails post when i take the ram out.
I have no clue how to check the cpu, but the fan for it turns on fine, the board seems to work ok. When i insert the windows7 disk the fan runs faster for the cpu, so im thinking its not the cpu.
After unplugging the hard drive and cd drive, i try again. Still nothing, so i have ruled those 2 devices out.
That leaves the ram. Without the ram in, the motherboard gives a no memory error, but im still thinking its the ram, as its not even listed as compatable in the motherboards manual. Plus, placing it in the last memory slot kills the computer compleatly, making it not even start up.
I tried with the graphics card a few times, but that wouldnt work either. Im going to try to replace the ram first, followed by returning the cpu. Could this be a problem from only having one 4gb stick of ddr3 ram?
