I've been playing Terraria quite a bit myself. I've gotten to the point where I have full demonite armor and weapons, but, I've hit a roadblock. I can't beat Skeletron to get into the dungeon... Not even a Minishark is enough to beat this guy. (solo)

Friend of mine soloed Skeletron with Phoenix Blaster and Meteor ammo, if that helps.
Though, 400 Health and Molten gear set would help a lot~

Sadly, I don't even have a handgun, let alone a phoenix blaster or molten armor. Right now, going into the Underworld is suicide for me since I don't have much mana and only one spell. (vilethorn) That's why I want to go to the dungeon, to grab a spell or two off the bookshelves and get some new treasure. Despite the fact that I've tunneled all the way to border of hell, I barely found any treasure chests.

Well, I accidentally bought this game with my Dad's money while me and my brother were trying to figure out how to change the payment options in steam so he could buy it for me with his money. Well, at least I got the game now o3o; (I'll just tell the old man and pay him back with interest for the trouble).
