Gear actually looks fairly average. Seems to be a normal Shining Will set (maybe a fused Swift/BH mix), Jirkal Shield, and Black Hammer. In all honesty, Hammer is probably better for this solo as the majority of your damage is going to be with Shield Charge (notice how few smashes actually land), and it's easier to get higher Attack with a Hammer. Seems Restoration is better for solos then I though, where sitting in HS = free HP.
The major problem with Weeping Queen is the fact that while she's underground, you can't effictively damage her. Of course this is mostly negated by gaining SP by sitting in HS for the majority of the time (as seen in the video).
Also, seems like there is some luck involved. There seems to be an oddly high ammount of time in which the boss was above ground (may be related to soloing, not sure), as well as the fact that the boss only spawned minions about 5 times (in this part anyways, didn't feel like watching the full 50 minutes). Fiona has absolutely horrible mob control skills, and the part around 8:30 shows how much trouble those Soldier Spiders give you.
The strategy itself seems to be a basic HS until you get 4 bars, Shield Charge, HS for 2 more bars (and some more), Shield Repair, repeat. The most impressive part of the run for me is how the person dodges certain attacks that most people (like myself) would HS during.
I know Iohanna in game. For those who are interested, it is indeed a standard Shining Will set with the usual enchantments. This is one of the earlier solos recorded. Ioh's currently on a recording haitus due to RL obligations, but I have no doubt that he is capable of doing a run in under half the original time.
While Shield Charge does quite a significant amount of damage, it does not constitute anywhere near the majority of damage in a Weeping Queen solo. It is entirely possible to land Stigmas and Butterflies with great consistency.
The Queen's AI is probably the most intricate out of all the bosses, but it's still extremely simple if you spend a few rounds in her company. As one would expect, her attack patterns are proximity based. When she burrows, if there are targets within close range, she'll do her pound/swipe move and burrow again. If targets are out of this range, she will either unburrow or make a beeline toward you with her claws. Her spawning spiderlings are seemingly random, but the chances are greatly increased when players are too far from her. However, a quick smash will cause her to stop almost immediately.
Although it may seem like a moment of panic during 8:30 in the video, the best method of dealing with the spider spawns as Fiona is to ignore them. It seems counterintuitive, but attacking the spawns is a waste of stamina when the Queen is vulnerable. She will kill them exponentially faster than you are capable of; which is exactly what happened shortly after.
Oh, and hello.
Most bosses are ezpz with a smart Fiona player :(
/douchebag who says not impressed
