How would you explain to a new player how to play?
- what skills to rank
- where to level
- what generations to do first
- what equipment to get
Well, I have a solution.
Skill Order (or close to this order).
Note: I never followed this, but I try to as much as I can.
Warrior guide:
(Note: Use the warrior destiny to enhance speed of training)
1) Get Windmill high and rank crit as soon as you can. Windmill ignores defense and protection or something (correct me if i'm wrong) and makes you get lots of crits. With critical, it does more damage. So I would advise anyone to rank both of them at the same time. Windmill will be ranked to 1 first though. Through all your windmill training, you will get anywhere from r9 crit - r5 crit. After Windmill, rank both combat mastery and sword mastery a little to improve your damage. Combat Mastery is not main priority, but get to r9 or so. Sword Mastery should be around rank 6?
2) Smash. With your rank (insert) crit, you will do some pretty beast damage. Use smash and get to rC first of all to get assault slash. Rank F is good for newbs. (I have rF). Rank Smash to 1 w/ crit and you will probably get r1 crit first, then r1 smash. There you go. 3 rank 1 skills now.
3) Get defense up for that extra defense and hp. This is useful for the future.
4) Get counterattack for the heck of it. It might not be useful atm, but it will be useful in the future.
5) Divide your skills into a set and work on them in a group. ex: Charge + somethingsomething etc.
L> People to add onto this. Thanks.

*for a warrior, you need to rank CM at least a little bit since having CM boosts your base damage giving every other melee skill with a higher damage. Another must-have skill with noobs is assault slash
For a mage:
-what skills to rank:
1) Icebolt - If you're going to be a mage, then icebolt should be the first skill to rank because it has a low MP cost and you can stack it for multiple hits which is useful for a beginner. Also, at rank 9, it has faster charging speed
2) Firebolt - firebolt is an interesting skill since it has the ability have a 100% to knockback on enemies except for monsters with adv heavy which noobs will encounter far later into the game. Because of this ability, it can get you out of situations like multi-aggro. With multiple stacks, it multiplies it's damage and with 5 charges, it has 6.5x of one charge damage, making it an extremely useful opening attack
3)Lightningbolt - The fastest charging skill and can be chained at higher ranks. Also has the highest damage per single charge but also, it has the largest range of damage. For example at rF, it has 1-40 dam. If you chain it, you can hit multiple enemies at the same time.
4)Healing - IF you're going to be a battle mage, healing isnt a priority, but still a useful skill to have
5) Magic mastery - no, duh
6)Manashield - mages have crap hp so this is really needed since they will have lots of mp
7) Meditation - to have quicker mana regen and is important to use with a wand so you dont have to walk.

CM is also essential along with Sword Mastery since they drastically reduce the amount of dex needed for using fully upgraded swords.
both after WM of course.

You forgot refining, also this is just a warrior's guide. Don't generalize it like that, it's annoying. And if it is going to be for all classes, then state at the end of your guide that more will be coming.

Ice/Fire Counter is your bread and butter at early stages. Different races should also be mentioned here, since these seems to be geared towards human warriors.
For Balance, I decided to what every human warrior that utilizes free rebirths should at least rank at early stages. This isn't in any particular order, but Windmill and Refining (and Metallurgy, while ranking Refining) should be given highest priority.
Sword Mastery Balance+Combat Mastery Balance=30%
Refining=36 Dex
Sword Mastery Dex+Combat Mastery Dex=15
Ranged Attack=50 Dex
Metallurgy=11 Dex
Production Mastery=17 Dex
Handicraft Rank C=4 Dex
Playing Instrument Rank C=4 Dex
Enchant Rank F=1 Dex
Support Shot Rank D=3 Dex
Blacksmithing Rank F=1 Dex
Tailoring Rank F=1 Dex
Inherent character base Dex at age 17=25
Total=30% inherent Balance from Sword Mastery and Combat Mastery+42% Balance from Dex-adding skills=72% balance.
157+198+53+155+100+67+3+10+1+4+2+3=753 AP for 72% balance. Not too shabby.
That's incredibly close to the 80% balance cap, and 0% balance weapons can be used relatively early in a new player's Mabinogi career.

If this is a noob guide, add some life skills in there. When I was a noob, I didn't generalize just in combat.
