Check the specs on my new desktop I'm getting?

Hellos~, So recently my old computer broke down, so I'm getting a new one. My previous one was absolutely horrible for gaming, and I'm hoping to make this one last. (Games like Starcraft II on more or less max graphics)

These are on recommendation from my uncle, the main thing I'm trying to decide on is the video card.

The video card I want however is the Radeon HD5830, or Radeon HD5770, HD5750, theres a sale on ncix so I can get it at cheaper =P

I used PassMark Software - Video Card Benchmarks - High End Video Cards for rankings. The GT240 is ranked somewhere in the 80's, Radeon HD are in top 20's.

Oh and I'll be running Windows 7 64-bit

Oh hey =P I just recently built a computer with very similar spec. Same CPU and mobo, actually. I got a 5850 at the last second, so the CPU is probably bottle necking. But 57xx or 5830 would probably be perfect.

No real point to get 5830 over 5750 for mabinogi. Mabinogi isn't even video card limited, it's all CPU bound. Better off overclocking the CPU for more performance.

Getting C2Q at this point is reallly really dumb. i5-750 or Phenom II X4 955 or i7-920/i7-930 should be the only choices you should consider.

Ya, Core 2 Quad does limit your upgrade potential... but It's certainly more than adequate, and will likely remain so for a good while. Also, 775 motherboards are really cheap, as are DDR2 ram.
When I was building mine, I was looking for a last-gen budget gaming rig. Sure it doesn't have much room to grow, but I wasn't going to spend the cash to upgrade anyways.
