As an indication that a post has been repped, maybe change the background colour of the post, or add a symbol of varying stages based on the number of reps? (while keeping anonymity on who did said repping to the public, as is with polls.)
or be like reddit, and have reps act as a sort of upvote mechanism.
A bit of a novelty, just something that floated through my mind. It might be better to keep it incognito.

Yeah, in other forums I've seen like
"This post was thanked/repped(Varations of the feature) # times"

I guess it would be an interesting thing for people who are curious about why certain people have the rep that they do. o.o

A little star or something next to the post number would be cool. Nothing that stands out too much, but lets you know it was useful/funny to someone xD

I like it. I am curious as to where all you high rep people get your rep from. :P

Yes, this is exactly what I was thinking of. I think it would be a worthwhile addition for the curious.. :D
My only concern is if it would change the motivation behind repping.

oh, yes, the thanks button. a means of replacing rep on some forums. it's really just a small feature, if you think about it.

This right here is something I forgot to mention. I guess the good part about this is you can't really spam rep, though.

Yes.
Also, I am not thinking of implementing a separate system (ie, Thanking), just a feature upon the current repping one.
and like Tim, I'd only like to see it go through if it isn't a lot of effort :D

I don't really like the idea of changing the background color. That's too obtrusive.
Perhaps adding a little green +3 or something somewhere at some corner of the post or something, or a red -1 or whatever for bad reps.
Or like...

I dunno.

Too much like facebook, in my opinion.
