Computer seemed to have died...

  My computer was full of errors. Not to mention DEADLY SPYWARE was on it...then again my computer was a problem in the first place, just another problem it was. Scanned it and stuff. Even after the scan it was almost worse than before....
  
  Then one afternoon I was alerted that my computer wouldn't turn on. My dad was saying "Did the computer crash or something?" I sighed and took a look. This time it wouldn't turn on. Not at all. Checked if it was plugged in, the power that connects to the computer was on, then tried turning on the computer itself. Nothing!! It seriously died! Computer must have given up....
  
  Anyways its been about 3 days now and still nothing. Would anyone know what to do in this situation? If the computer really dead? xD I mean I have no problem with it being dead and such, it was a crappy computer in the first place. It did have some documents and registered software that I would like to get back. So if anyone can, a little help? xD...

  Do any fans spin when you try to turn it on? Any beeps? Any lights on? If even the power supply fan won't spin, then it's probably a dead power supply.
  
  My understanding is that you don't care about fixing the computer, but you just want to recover your documents? That should be fairly simple; you'll just need to remove the hard disk from your current computer and plug it into a working PC. Unless you set up NTFS encryption (you probably haven't), you'll be able to access all your files from there. If the hard disk is really old and is based on an IDE interface, you will not be able to plug it into new PCs that have only SATA ports. Buying an IDE to SATA adapter would be required.
