  I'd love to have made another thread especially for Immortal Regis and showcase that before Cavalier, but that wouldn't make sense for a series that's already finish. Instead, we have the sequel.
  
  Another way of looking at this series, Immortal Regis is the story of a boy, Jae Hyuk, who is accidentally killed upon being wrapped up in a fight before a girl and a monster. This girl, Serin, turns out to be a powerful sorceress and revives him as her servant in order to save his life. The boy returns to her magical world as a price, however. His only goal is to return back to his home world to see his little brother again.
  
  Cavalier of the Abyss is the story that continues when Jae fails to return to his home world. His little brother is possessed by a powerful Demon King, and he himself has become the King of the magical world. Jae is a tyrant that kills anyone and everyone in order to preserve his rule and prevent the revive of the Demon King. Along the peril, he is also on a search for his true son. The protagonist of Cavalier is a boy on a journey to take revenge on the tyrant king for destroying his village; he also shares a unique similar to the king.
  
  Note that sh*t is confusing in Cavalier of the Abyss until chapter 19 if you don't read the prequel, Immortal Regis, first.

  I liked Regis. Then Cavalier came and I was all WTF is going on?!? I didn't get very far before I dropped it because Serin clone that's not with Jae and I don't care about the little brother protagonist.

  Yeah, Cavalier is a very good suspense and sequel to Regis. The only drawback is that if the chapters are released per week, most of the action is only action; no plot line. After chapter 19+, the confusion is clarified and earlier chapters make more sense.

  You can't say you didn't see it coming, right? At the end of Immortal Regis --> highlight in case some people haven't read it yet
  Jae Hyuk did become distrusting and violate towards Serin when he learned that she brought his brother to the Magic World. Hell, even in Cavalier in the current arc, you can see that he still held a grudge against her despite her efforts to hold off the powers of the true Regis.
