Desktop icons rearranging themselves.

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. Sometimes when I hibernate my computer, my icons go all whacky. I always have them lined up neatly on the side, and just when I can almost memorize where my folders are (as to organize faster) they change.

Anyone have a solution? @_@

The resolution is changing. Something is causing it to change to a smaller resolution when you hibernate the computer.

My solution: Don't Hibernate the computer.

Or, use a program like Fences which saves your desktop icons and their locations when you change resolutions.

I can't really not hibernate the computer. With the amount of stuff on this laptop it takes like 10 minutes to start up.

And it's not really that more items fit on the screen, they're actually moving sideways.
