My Bose AE2 headphones lost their padding stuff, and that costs like $20, so I don't feel like buying that, and the cord is really short.
My Logitech G35 had some problem that I would hear a really loud buzzing if I had my mic enabled or in certain games or vent, so I had to set my mic quality to like telephone quality, which is the worst. Next, the faux leather stuff on the earpad wore off and they don't even make replacements for that. Next, I got this incredibly loud static that is near defeanening that wouldn't stop. So, I had to google it and uninstall the drivers for the headset to make it go away, which made me lose my headphone's surround sound. On top of all that, a few minutes ago the left headphone completely broke off. O-F-F off. Soooo... not something I would ever recommend to anyone.
I want something high quality, so... I don't want recommendations that's like $20 and breaks in 6 months or less and sounds like crap.
First priority is sound quality, second priority is quality of the product itself. Meaning, it's going to last awhile, isn't going to break, and if it does then there's replacements that don't cost a way too much (minor).
The first set I was looking at is the Skull Candy Roc Nation Aviator Black (link), but they don't have surround sound, which I don't like. But they do look pretty high quality and with metal parts and whatnot. Everyone says the sound quality is good, but everyone says that about every headphone they buy. But they do look comfortable.
Next, since I want surround sound, I went here. I prefer ones with surround sound, since I'm kinda spoiled now.
The Turtle Beach Ear Force X41 headset looks pretty decent. But it takes two AAA batteries, which last "up to" 25 hours, which is just fail. I don't want to go wireless. That's a big hassle that I don't want to ever have to deal with again.
There's the Astro A40, but it's wireless too it looks like, and $250. Which is a bit more than I'm willing to spend on headphones. My range is around $100-$160.
The Sennheiser PC333D is $240, which is like $100 too much for a headset for me.
The Platronics GameCom 777 looks okay I guess, but the reviews say they're too tight and pinch your head. Yuck.
I'm a little interested in this. Here's another link. Supposedly it can transform any stereo headphones into surround sound ones. So... I could get the Roc Nation Aviator, and that, and I'd have comfortable and high quality, but also surround sound... hmm... I'm liking the sound of that...
edit: I could get the Ear Force DSS on Amazon for $69 and the Roc Nation Aviators for $119, so it'd come out pretty much within my price range.
Well, what do you guys think?
