  Exactly. Remember iPhone initially came $599.
  Now its $99.
  
  I'm sure the iPad costs less than 50 dollars in factory cost. The smaller companies can still make a profit selling a decent product at 20% price.

  The iPad was just released in Australia this morning.
  My Year Advisor/ Maths Teacher got up at 4:00AM, got to the Apple Centre at 6:00AM, was interviewed by T.V. and Radio stations whilst she waited in line behind 150 or more people, and finally got her iPad 64GB 3G at around 9:00AM. She missed first period because of this. AND THEN SHE WOULDN'T SHOW MY GRADE THE IPAD(She's our year advisor :O) EXCEPT FOR OTHER MATHS STAFF AND THE PRINCIPAL.
  
  Replica stuff isn't always that bad...sure, my Dad came back from China after a business trip and he brought an outstandingly fake iPhone with him. It was hilariously dodgy. But then this iPed thing is run by pretty good software so it can't be too bad...Apple stuff is made in China anyway. (Like everything else we own). My Classic messes up sometimes, so even Apple products aren't perfect.
