The event should be simple challenges like...
complete a certain game or something
We can post emulators (but not ROMs)
because it's technically okay to put emulators
If it's a game completion challenge, the game shouldn't be long
like final fantasy 7-9 is 3 discs each
and it should be the playtime of a first time player
Game suggestions
NES
Castlevania
Mega Man 2
SNES
-LoZ: Link to the Past
-Super Mario World
-Super Mario RPG
-Donkey Kong Country
-Kirby Super Star
-Terranigma
-Super Castle vania
-Earthbound
Gameboy
-Pokemon yellow (because we're all forced to use Pikachu)
-LoZ Link's awakening
Genesis
-Sonic
Gameboy color
-LoZ games
-maybe Pokemon
Gameboy Advance
-LoZ games
-Mario & Luigi
The cat's memory of old games is pretty bad atm.
Rewards would be like a badge related to that game
like a heart/Triforce for Legend of Zelda, or Pokeball for pokemon
Requires screenshot of a completed savefile with forum names or something

Add Terranigma to the list. It's a snes game released just when the N64 was out so it was only localized in Europe. Great gameplay with a great story.

If pokemon special pikachu edition counts as pokemon yellow, then you can put me on the list. My brother left an old gameboy with that game inside it that i found when i was cleaning my room a few days ago, havent played it before but i kinda was interested on the older pokemon games, but i dont usually play pokemon, so sorry if my first question was a stupid one, lol.

-you have to use an actual controller with an analog stick
-the games are made to be used with an analog stick
-the frame rate is sometimes choppy

Analog stick on the n64 was pressure sensitive and gameplay would be made to use that. Unfortunately project 64 could only be set to one level of pressure at a time even if you had your own pressure sensitive pc controller.
So games like Super Mario 64, or shooters like Perfect Dark could never get the best gameplay as intended.
Also, paper mario ran absolutely terribly as a rom. Frames were just chaotic. Layers were out of place. Its playable... I beat it on project 64, but only if you aren't epileptic because it will flash layers in and out a lot.
