  The R4i isn't a real R4 it's just a clone FlashCart with several issues. The only real R4 are the only say R4 so if it says R4 3 or R4 Gold ect it's a fake. Most R4 clones just lock up and ruin everything that's on the MicroSD card.
  The Acekard2i is in my opinion the best DSi FlashCart.
  So are you getting a DS lite or a DSi? I'm confused ._.

  Haha I didn't know that. I just lurked around some forums for like 3 minutes everybody was pointing to the Acekard so I went with that.
  
  Thing is, I can't tell if my current DS works or not, so I'll either trade it in for a Cobalt/Black DS Lite, or a Cyan DSi. I'll probably just go with the Lite again, $40 extra doesn't sound worth it.

  How can you tell if it works or not? If your G6(Or whatever) works on it, it should be fine.

  My G6 doesn't work, I didn't take care of it and the cartridge is really flimsy. In addition the firmware is outdated.
  My DS also doesn't detect the card on top for some reason, which is why I think the DS is busted as well.

  My DS used to have the same problem but then I tried holding my R4 down with my hand and then it started reading it after a few tries.

  Gonna have to check the local stores and see what they have. I can walk away with a used one without paying anything (they're $90, I have a giftcard for $50, trade-in bonus is $25, and I'm pretty sure base trade-in value is more than $15), but I'd prefer a Cobalt/Black one in really good condition. Which also means I'm not really interested in the DSi anymore.
  Hopefully my Acekard gets here before the trade-in bonus ends so I can see if I actually need a new one or not.

  Just asked because the shoulder buttons tend to be unresposive and Gamestop only checks if the DS looks playable.
  My sister's ds shoulder broke and it does not respond at all even when pressed down hard.
  Oh and reply how good the Acekard is I want to get one. o_o

  Oh really? Now that you mention it, my R-button is really stubborn, I have to press it pretty hard near the inside hinge in order for it to send. I'll probably wait and see if the prices drop like the cat says they might to make my absolute final decision.
  I ordered the AceKard from Taiwan though so I won't get it for like a month lol. It was a bit cheaper ($18.50 -> $15) and I'm not really in a hurry to play anything. xD
