Since I've started playing again, this doesn't work. I used to be able to simply move my camera around, even in mid-combo, and my character would turn to face forward (back to the camera).
For example, I could be doing a LLLLR on a mob. After LL, the mob I'm attacking dies, so I swing the camera around before the rest of the combo to face a different mob, and my character turns to face that mob for the LLR.
It's becoming a bit of a problem now that I've gotten to the sewers. The lizardmen seem to have a lot of HP (could be my severely outdated equipment though), and some of those bosses are fast.
I'm a scythe Evie too, if that helps.

I'm making this solution up, but I found some of the earlier patches would reset my options.
Try disabling it, saving settings, and enabling it. That or restarting your game / computer if you haven't already tried that.

Dumb question, but you've already checked to make sure the option is turned back on in your advanced control options?

Yeah, I've disabled it and re-enabled it, and I've already quit the game and reset the computer.
I dunno what gives. :I
I've also tried toggling the "aim when throwing" option, since apparently that resets the whole aiming system or something. Got nothing.

You could try forcing a re-patch, which shouldn't take too long, since you have the files already.
