Which do you prefer overall
I know I know "it depends"
but overall I like grilled stuff > fried stuff
grilled chicken > fried chicken
grilled burgers > seared burgers
xD

Grilled ftw!
It's also healthier... unless you burn the food.

Deep frying desserts is incredibly sinful. but LOVE ♥
But yea, I'm also in the grill side of life for savory foods, but fried desserts are way too good.

Frying has its benefits....for instance you can't really grill beans or such... as easy (you can but you basically would have to put tin foil around your vegetables and then its hard to judge to make beans or such vegetables al'dente and just right to eat and if your going to flavour them if you grill them it makes them soggy and gross... so say if your gonna do asparagus with lemon juice and butter sauce ide fry them instead of grilling or I could lightly blanch them (boil till lightly cooked or slightly crunchy) then let them dry a bit and cover them in some margarine or butter and toss them on the barby get some grill marks and then squirt them with some lemon juice b4 serving but hmm actually now im hungry :< ) lol
But overall i definitely prefer grilling theres just no comparison to that grilled flavour...mmm mmm good

Grilled when possible
But change the burger to something eles
When you grill your searing a burger in essence
Searing is simply making a crust on the surface
If your grilling your meats correctly your searing them

Isn't it supposed to increase cancer risk? Particularly here because of the fat dropping down on the coal which releases some stuff.
The loveliest meat I've ever had was turkey fried in a bouillon, so I'll go with frying. Or I guess that makes it boiled then.

cancer causing agents attach to the proteins, which end up most concentrated in the charred parts of the meat. Grilling veggies and fruits is totally a-ok though! Pan-fried is just as bad as well.
Best thing to do is marinate and pre-cook the meat in low heat before grilling!

They both taste good to me, and the two seem to be better or worse for different things.
I'll say it's a tie...though maybe not a perfect tie.

Actually I meant that those are formed when the fat drops on the hot coal, and then get into the meat with the resulting smoke. I know about the rest. I might not have studied nutrition, but I still had it in school!

neat, I didn't know about that.
I wonder if that's the same protein binding chemical that they talk about :what:
